Had my 40th birthday, complete with 3 dinners and 2 lunches out. And managed to stay on track, and not gain a lb. Except water weight from sodium (we had sushi and Chinese) That weight dropped off in 2 days, right on track.

Same here. Hair falling out, cold all the time. Have an appointment with my Dr. for Wednesday. I lost 75lbs in 11 months, and am just working on finding my maintenance point.

Wrap with egg white, spinach and laughing cow cheese.

Yeah, this just happened to me last week and it was pretty devastating. I knew I had been within my calories and it was very disheartening to see the scale creep back up. For me it was excess sodium, and ovulation. Both things that have gone away.

Why not try adding 100 calories to your day for the next month and see what happens? It may be that just upping your intake that little bit would be enough to reset your expectations. Give it a month and reassess. See how you feel as your rate of loss slows. Be proud of what you have achieved so far! Then you can look…

Makes complete sense to me. Dropping past the 200lb mark was amazing and it happened faster than I thought. Losing 70lbs is incredible! It makes sense to me to set a goal that I know I can achieve. Hitting 199 is a great place to aim for. And even if you stopped there and maintained for a while, just think of how far you…

Completely reasonable! Nothing wrong with being curvy or even being happy on the higher end of the BMI range. I feel like I want to get to know this new body before I push it too far. Maybe this will work for me long-term, maybe not. But it's worth investigating!

I'm 5'11 and aiming for 175lbs. At least at the moment. I have been heavy for a long time and wanted to hit a comfortable place and maintain there for a while before I decide to go further. 175 is the very tippy top of the healthy BMI range for that height. But so much better than 250, which is where I started. And I got…

Every other weekend, at work on the calibrated medical scale. My home scale fluctuates too much depending on where I stand. It gives me nice numbers and keeps me from obsessing.

I have lost 41 lbs in 6 months on 1800+ calories. My stats were almost bang on for yours. Started at 245, aiming for 180, also 5'11" . I would try and take it slow, give yourself more calories to enjoy life. If your dress will still fit no matter what, allow yourself a little wiggle room to have that canapé or cocktail at…

I am 5'11" too, about 205lbs now and am steadily losing on 1850 cals/day. I have MFP set to Sedentary since I mostly have a desk job. Down 40lbs (wowzers!) since Jan 01 of this year. I swim once a week, go for a power walk with a friend once a week, do a jog or workout video once a week and any extra exercise I get chasing…

I like a sandwich that I make with PB2, grated Carrots and Montreal steak spice. You can of course use regular PB if you prefer. The Carrots give a nice crunch and extra vitamins to a boring PB sandwich. Or just have a PB and J on your choice of bread!

Not true. Vitamin A is one of the fat soluble vitamins, along with D, E and K. It will build up in your fatty tissue if you have too much. As an occasional thing it's not an issue but maybe dial it back a little? The water soluble vitamins like B and C are peed out if you have too much. Source

I am 215 and currently eat 1900cals a day. I am set to lose .5lbs a week and sedentary. I am 5 ft 11in though so that probably changes things a bit.
