I'm taking a skin/hair/nails vitamin, since I'm working on trying to improve and grow out my hair and nails for my wedding. Post wedding, I may change over to a standard multivitamin.

Half meals ahead of digging in. I've been getting into the habit of either asking for things halves that easily can be done (for example, the Jimmy John's sandwich I had Saturday evening) or asking for a to-go box with my meal so I can half it after doing my photos. Also, look for lighter options (or, turkey and veggies…

Going to also toss my hat in with the recipe calculator. I love it, especially with recipes found online since I can usually just enter the site address and let it do the work.

They sent out an insert a couple of weeks ago (I think) about how to recycle their packaging. Supposedly the ice packs are safe to be cut open and the liquid/gel flushed and then the plastic recycled. I'm too worried about what it'll actually do though to attempt it. The rest of the 'recycle your shipping' was pretty…

We did honeymoon and wedding talk with friends of ours last night (over canasta and mulled wine). Which sort of surprised me this morning to see a good drop on the scale for the week overall (probs mostly early journey woosh). I'm planning to wear slightly off white, though I haven't started dress hunting yet. But to save…

Portion control with calorie counting, plus exercise and an active job. And eating slower so I have time to process how my body feels during larger meals instead of bulldozing through. I'm early in my journey, but I'm not feeling deprived or suffering cravings that cause a binge session. And it lets me enjoy random nights…

I alternate biking and walking (sometimes with some jogging) MWF and TRS respectfully. And I'm currently doing back on pointe's January challenge this month from Tumblr. It incorporates different focus areas each day and she offers a ton of options so you can make the challenge focus on your needs.

I've gotten into a few different yogurts last year, among them Noosa (if I remember, it's an Aussie style yogurt) and Siggi's skyr. They on different flavor ends, so they counter well when I'm in a yogurt mood. I found both of these in HEBs here in the Houston area. :)

Yo. ;) I'm getting married at the end of September (9/23/17). I'm looking to lose around 25 pounds, look slimmer, and be in overall better health by then. I plan to start dress hunting next month or March so I'd like to be down a little by then so alterations can be limited. Feel free to add me. :)

I would suggest finding options that will satisfy that craving without going overboard. For example, set aside some calories for your snack and break it into smaller pieces so it takes longer to eat. Or try some different snacks that may not be as aligned with snack foods. But I tend to organize a few snacks ahead of time…

It depends what my "not up to it" is. If I'm just feeling 'meh. I'm a slug' then I'll push to get out since my workout will usually improve how I'm feeling. If it's because I didn't sleep well or am feeling more under the weather than something minor, I'll take a rest day, take a soak, do some stretching, and pick it back…

I'm jealous. Houston is really neither pedestrian or cyclist friendly overall (though we have some CM folks that aren't helping the attempts to make it more bike friendly). That being said, my sub-division outside of Houston is reasonably cyclist friendly and in the new expansions, they've already been putting in sidewalks…

It means that I have one less thing to worry about after work. ;) And if I'm going to be late, my fiance knows what meal we're supposed to have and he can start prep.

Logged ahead of the day other than things that I may add a second serving of or veggie fillers and adds to keep me from waking up hungry in the middle of the night.

I'm in a similar boat (the joys of chasing toddlers, which post holidays has been a lot more than usual). So I enjoyed a serving of a rosemary lemon ice cream, which is about the amount of ice cream I ever really eat. And an extra serving of my trail mix I eat on the way home from work.

I'm not giving up anything. We're limiting eating out though from weekends to once per month, and keeping it in line a bit (trying to pick healthier options, one drink, and going for a walk afterwards). I'm also just being healthier in general (workout out either before or after work + the bonus exercise of chasing…

I'm in a similar boat (though I've realized that 120-130 is much more my happy weight, especially if I'm active). I'm new, but I would say to use the tools given to you. Invest in a good scale and log meals accurately, find a form of exercise you enjoy and do it, and look through the forums. People may be a bit cut and…

I have to eat breakfast, otherwise I'd only eat one meal a day (my job doesn't really work for me and lunch). It gets me going in the morning and through the day with small snacks between meals. That being said, my fiance frequently skips breakfast or eats it late, which works for him. We frequently talk about the fact…

I've personally used Hello Fresh and have enjoyed it. We had one rough week, but other than that, the meals have been delish and filling. None of the ones we've gotten are too difficult (though I'm not a good scale since I cooked heavily prior to HF). But my fiance has picked up cooking a meal a week and likes learning new…

Not any single piece, but I want to get down a few sizes before my wedding in September. I'm going to start dress shopping next month (February). My bestie did gift me a nice Kate Spade dress though last autumn when we helped her clean and pack to move. It's a size 6, which is well within my abilities to reach (I used to…

Carbicide is the name of the game. I will say though that since I've been living with my fiance, it hasn't been as bad for me. For him, it's been horrible (he's an empathizer, and when I should be going through carbicide, he does instead and I don't get the cravings. It's insanely weird). He asked me a few days ago if we…

Hello Fresh here. We've been getting boxes for about 6 months now, and while it's pricey, I find it about on par if I were to try buying the ingredients of the same quality from stores. We've enjoyed most of the meals (we had one bad week that was a transition to winter ingredients), and like the variety they give us. And…

Counting calories to keep within my allocated amount. I pretty much don't cut anything out, I just limit to days that I have a little extra wiggle room. I do have subscription meal boxes from Hello Fresh, so we pick what sounds good each week. This means that we do eat one vegetarian meal most weeks.

If you have time to cook reasonably quick meals, I'd look into the meal delivery options like Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, etc. I've been doing HF for around 6 months now and love the variety of meals each week (I get 3 meals so I have some choice in menu). Most of the meals have been filling and vary between 500 and 900…

I've liked having my flex since I can track my activity through the day. I'm planning to upgrade to the Alta though for some of the newer features that mine doesn't have (the watch and notification push would both be nice features to have at work). I also connect with friends and family so we can motivate each other to…

I use a Fitbit Flex and have loved it. I'm contemplating upgrading to the Alta though for some of the newer features (watch, mobile notifications). My fiance is looking to switch over to Fitbit products since they have the connectivity that his current one doesn't.

MFP has a pretty good recipe calculator. I'll plug in the ingredients and let it do the work, and usually set the servings to either how many meals I need something to be or what I would like the calories to be. And then portion accordingly. If I don't have exact matches, I guesstimate as closely as I can.

I'm also looking to lose around 30 pounds this year. I'm coming up on my wedding in September and would like to be close to my goal for both the evening and for our mountain honeymoon a few weeks later. I also want to be in better shape since we plan to spend a good chunk of the trip hiking around Veil and Beaver Creek.

Put it on the highest shelf towards the back. If I can't reach it, the motivation to actually work to get it dies. Usually because I have to spend time finding our wandering step ladder, and by then, I'm over it. And my fiance forgets that it's there if I'm not pulling it out of the cupboard (like the chocolate orange that…
