Looking at my daily weigh-ins, there are several where I'm +0.5, +1.0, or +1.5 (apart from splurge days). No idea why I get these bumps, but the overall trend is still down. Hang in there!

Still here! Had a decent week. You?

Wow that is so awesome, you have your goal SOLIDLY in your sights!!! I love how you added your ticker to your blog post, now you'll have an imitator . . .

Saturday weigh-in results: 1.5 lbs lost this week, 19.75 total lbs lost in 6 weeks. Thought I'd hit that "magic 20" this week, but next week is okay too. I've been doing elliptical and/or walking most days a week, started to add back bodyweight exercises (pushups, planks, etc.) -- mindful of Joe's admonition not to…

I've enjoyed a stick of regular gum after my one meal, and it seems to help me stop eating.

That is an awesome answer.

Me three! I'm glad it's mealtime!

Hey, you've averaged a 3/4 lb a week loss this year! That is a very, very good direction and a healthy pace.

Thanks @vinyladdict and @blambo61 !!!

the BP numbers are so cool . . . looking forward to my next workup, April-ish.

Hey, eating once a day is most admirable!!!

Awesome how you are reaping all those benefits, it's surprising, isn't it? Plus OMAD is simpler than almost anything else. Here's Dec 25 to Jan 29:

It's difficult not to get too excited and a little obsessive. I have to fight that. Because if this is going to be a permanent change in my life (and it has to, it must!), then I can't obsess over it. I just got back from walking with wifey, and I was talking about how 45 days is a big milestone for me, because I've never…

We will certainly remember her in our prayers, and you as well. Take care.

I'm sipping mine as I read this.

You've found the right place!

Thanks @vinyladdict, just read your plans for the superbowl, sounds like a wonderful splurge day!
-
Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to reading your thread.

I keep thinking this can't be real! Probably like many of you, I've tried so many different things over the past 30 years (well, not many of you for the 30 years part, but you know . . . ). Nothing has worked this well. Waiting for that plateau . . . . . . I know it's coming.

Wow!

Hi @mikerr1944! You and my sister are about the same age (making an assumption from your username), and she's told me a few years back about success she's had with IF. Now I'm sharing my OMAD result with her and she's getting enthusiastic about it again.

Amazing dedication!

The loose clothes are really, really cool. I'm down two belt notches, almost three. As a guy, I'm not really a shopper. Actually, I'm not a shopper at all (big surprise, right?). But I think it will be pretty interesting to get smaller clothes when the time is right.

Intermittent Fasting for Weight Loss w/ Jason Fung, MD I really enjoyed this interview with Jason Fung and I just ordered his book last night: The Obesity Code

That really made me smile . . . that was your gym! I have said for years that all one really needed to do to stay fit was to get a shovel, dig a small trench about 6 feet long, and the next day fill it back in. Then repeat. My wife stays slim and fit just by watching what she eats and working in a large garden.

The magic is happening!!! The scale is just one measurement, and it will catch up with all the other good things you are noticing. Think about this: Have you ever done anything else that made your pants so much looser, this easily?
-
That is wonderful!
