That sounds interesting. Last night's birthday friend was very particular. SHE sent me the recipe to be used :) I seem to have some very particular friends - quirky bunch of weirdos who I love so much!

I'm usually a straight bourbon fan - no ice :) - or in tea. But. This one was very nice! :)

Unless I want to go to small claims court - I'm going to be relying on the decency of the person who sold the car. To be honest - I don't think he knew how bad it was? I learned that lesson about 40 years ago too, Yooly. But this time I thought I as just lucky as all get out - and the person said I could take the car to my…

And the relatively cheap Amazon full face mask/respirator was worth every penny … and at $34.95 about $150 less than the least expensive one at the local safety supply store the least expensive one at the local safety supply store and very flattering I think 😁

this is the fun I’ve been up to lately … when I’m not out buying junkyard cars 😁 Sometimes you just need an extra doorway 🙂

look at these beauties … my sweet little blue car and my dear friend no longer in BC would she be annoyed if she found out it was posting this photo with her in it! 🤣

And I misremembered. That whiskey was "blackBERRY" not "blackCURRANT" - still very good though
-
And that looks like GREEN pea soup????? What a great breakfast :)
-
Not used myself either. That red curry paste is so easy for me to find and so cheap and one packages lasts a couple of months. Can't imaging making it. You are an inspired woman, Yakky!!!!

Yesterday turned into a terrible eating day :( - not full out binging but it was a friends birthday - I baked lava cakes (terrible (ly delicious) 600 calories each. Then two people didn't come. Then I was up late lamenting my car situation and thought I would eat a second. Then a third :( hard to balance out those calories…

Oh, CosmoBug - looks amazing. I've always dreamed of fjords….! Thank you for sharing. Car update: Yesterday the father of the boy who I gave my old car to came and took a look at the bumper situation on the new car. He crawled underneath and after a few seconds said: Oh, darling. I'm so sorry. Said that a few times - poked…

It was surprising nice! A good summer whiskey :)

Red Curry Paste in that there soup! :) So many good thing going on here….I miss you all when I'm away

I've missed so much fun here! This made me laugh: "British contingent should put up some bangers and beans!😛" This morning when me and the long-eared-one woke up I was whispering sweet nothings in her ear and started tantalizing her with different breakfast ideas. Bacon and eggs. Home fries and steak... She really perked…

I'm playing catch up … Hope things settle well, Creamtea and that MIL stays stable for awhile. I second Yooly's not to take care of yourself. Goodluck with the digestion concerns, Athijade. That doesn't help a person on the healthy food management front. Hope you can avoid medications… Great tips, PAV. I've had a friend…
-
Welcome back, Athijade!
-
Have you tried boosting the protein for your first meal, Athijade? I have found the refined carbs for breakfast don't do a lot for me other than leaving me wanting more.
-
Sounds pretty nasty, Nic. Is this because of the surgery? Will your body become more tolerant? Or is this something you will always have to watch for?
-
I imagine that it kept you feeling full for quite awhile too??? Looks very substantial.
-
Good to know. I thought maybe the increased heart rate = quickened metabolism. No go, eh?
-
Wow, PAV. Thank you. I think that is me right smack dab in the middle :) It really feels like water retention kind of bloating - not the gas kind. Even my shins! They get this little bump below my knee :) looks like fat but it comes and goes. This is great inspiration. I don't think I will give myself a "no bread ever"…
-
But hey … intense heart rate … does that mean burning more calories ??????
-
Fingers crossed for you…spicy is so so so good :) Spicy / lower sodium?
-
Too much bread = bloat. Always has :( Two slices a day - seems okay - but if it creeps up - which it always does - then along comes the bloat. I keep thinking I'm imagining it - but everytime I try it is the same thing. No more bread in the freezer. See how the next few days go….🤞

My exhusband/friend/children father :) - don't like that "exhusband" moniker because it is usually pretty negative - always reacted extremely to something in hot peppers. Major sweat, flushed, heart rate way up. Didn't seem to be a health problem? Just a reaction? Didn't stop him from eating many spicy foods and chutneys.…

Yeah - lots of non bunnies. Still under maintenance - but the pounds are creeping up on the scale. The freaking bread is taking control again. "Moderation" only seems to last so long. I could so happily live on sandwiches - but just doesn't agree with me. Belly is bloated - and I can only guess lots of water retention???…
-
Yesterday's bunnies. Too many bunnies. Too many foods overall. 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇 ish 210g morning clementines, 15g field greens, red curry soup, green soup, 125g grape tomatoes, 92g afternoon clementines, 95g afternoon banana, 127g potato, 90g evening banana

Sodium??? Or heat????

You amaze me also. :) I thought Kosmos was an anglicized version of the same word in Greek? Both would have been written in the Greek or Cyrillic alphabet. But then I thought there might be a different meaning somewhere along the lines too!
-
I can see that working, Nic. Lots of protein too!
