I ended up having one this past Tuesday.

I would definitely follow up with a cardiologist. But I will say I've had ecg's and a echo that showed I had enlargement of the left atrium and it ended up being nothing. They did a repeat echo a couple weeks later and it was 100% normal. They told me stress can actually cause this and since it went back to normal they…

Everything went great! I'm pretty sore but will be better than ever by next week!

Update with me. I had 2 pretty bad episodes of palpitations lasting 1 minute and the other lasting 5 min. Doctor called my insurance and demanded a EP study needs to be done. They approved, so I go in for my EP study this Tuesday the 7th at 11am. I will also be having an ablation at that time.

The way MFP is set up is your suppose to eat back the calories you burn. But is also suggested you only eat back 50 to 75% of them to leave room for error.
-
I'm not on any heart medication only Crohns meds which doesn't mess with my heart. I'm eating about 75% of my calories I've burned back.
-
My heart doctor has already put me in touch with a certified personal trainer who deals with a lot of heart patients and is working with me.

So after adjusting my calorie intake last week I went up to 1390 instead of 1200 and started eating back my exercise calories and I'm now losing at 2 pounds a week instead of 3.5. I'm going to give it some more time. Still losing more than what I have MFP set to but at least I'm not losing as much a week.

Here's my two cents. I think people gain weight and realize hmm I've gained some weight and then go on a diet and exercise program. They lose the weight and then think well I did it and give up on tracking calories/exercise and gain it back. They may do this a couple times over a course of a few years. But it will finally…

Sometimes I feel like Crohns has messed my heart up. But who knows. Sometimes I feel like doctors really don't know either.

Lose weight and help improve cardiovascular health.

My heart goes into AFib and Mitral Valve Prolapse with regurgitation.

No correlation at all.

Ok?

Yes I have a heart rate monitor. The highest I'm allowed to let my heart rate get is 140 which is 75% of my maximum heart rate.
-
Not usually lol. I have a large fenced in yard so they get their exercise that way. I can't stand the cold.

So you do 3 15 min sessions a day on the elliptical? I'm the same way. If it's warm and sunny out I take my dogs for walks. I live in Ohio and we've been lucky and had quite a few days in the mid 50's and low 60's. Now we're back to low to mid 30's.

I don't really want to up my calories just yet. I think I will just do 30 min of exercise 5 days a week and see how I feel. Figured I'd do 15 min of brisk walking on a incline and then 15 min on the elliptical. I enjoy the elliptical so much more as walking hurts my knees lol but I know I can't do 30 min straight on the…

My cardiologist is on vacation, but I planned on talking with him when he returns. Just wanted others opinions. I'm going to go down to 30 min 5 days a week. I'll do 15 min of brisk walking with a incline and 15 min of the elliptical. Then slowly work myself up from there.

I plan on asking him when he returns from vacation. Just wanted others opinions.

I have Afib and mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation. My doctor is on vacation at the moment.

I try to eat back 50 to 75% of them

I have a polar chest strap that i connect to my Apple Watch. It says I burn around 350 to 400 total. But I know that's not 100% accurate so I only eat back 50 to 75% of them back. I'm 5'3 and weigh 184

I get a good amount of protein a day. I make sure to fuel properly before and after working out. But yesterday as I was on the elliptical I started feeling extremely fatigued and then my heart palpitated extremely hard. I knew at that point time to stop lol. Still today I feel very sluggish. My calorie goal for the day is…

My calories for the day is 1390. I split the hour up. I do 15min on the treadmill and 15 min on the elliptical. Then in the evening do another 15 & 15. I have heart issues so I'm not suppose to do a hour straight.
-
I wouldn't stress over it. Just because your heart rate only gets up to 130 doesn't mean your not burning the same amount of calories you did before when your heart rate was in the 170's. It's the amount of effort your putting in. I would keep doing what your doing.

Thats the beta blockers doing their job to control the heart rate and keep it lower. I have a friend who is on Beta Blockers and the highest her heart rate gets during intense exercise is 135. My heart doctor told me you will reap the best benefits with your heart rate being 75% of you maximum heart rate. But even with…

Eating at a calorie deficit is what will help you lose weight. Many people lose weight just through diet alone. Exercise helps with overall health. If you have the time you can break your exercise up. For instance I do 30 min of cardio in the morning and 30 min of cardio in the evening. I can't do it all at once because of…

Dang!! I'm glad your doing well now. What was the cause of your heart attacks? Coronary artery disease runs in my family, but the doctors swear up and down because my echo's look good and my nuclear stress test was good with a EF ratio of 65% that there is no problem with the plumbing part of my heart and it's all…

Wow! Your extremely lucky you didn't get a pulmonary embolism!! Whenever I get admitted into the hospital I have to have lovenox injections as precaution and if I travel long distance I have to stand, walk and stretch every 2 hours for 15 min. As I mentioned before they "think" my DVT was from a infiltrated IV but to be on…
