Way to hang in there!

Very nice! I've been thinking about doing Max 30. Is this the first time you've done this workout series? Can you let us know how you like the program and maybe what you don't like, if anything? I'm very interested in your feedback.

I almost always take at least one day off.

There are a lot of modifications that they show on the DVDs. When I started, I modified almost every move and also just started out doing 20 to 30 minutes of each workout. You may also want to check out P90, which is a little less intense. Like TH says, "just do your best and forget the rest."

You may want to take a look at P90X workouts. You can pull up the workout sheets for free at: https://www.beachbody.com/text/products/programs/p90x/P90X_Worksheets.pdf to give you an Idea of structured training approaches. Hope this helps.

I will add another great endorsement for Tony Horton an P90x for strength training. I've done P90X 3 times over the past couple of years and if you stick with it you will see great strength gains in a relatively short period of time. I'm doing a Hybrid X program right now where I substitute the P90X cardio workouts with…

Check out the app, Mind Body. It's free and will locate both Yoga and Pilates classes based on your location. A many yoga studios/instructors will also give you a complimentary class to see if you like it, as well.

I second the Tony Horton DVDs especially the P90X and P90X Plus series.

Could be the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome. I like the advice given by the others, but I would still check in with your doc.

I do yoga three times per week and also have to be careful with my knees. What I do depends on the position or pose. For some, like pigeon, there are alternate positions (a good teacher will help you with these), for others, like when you are placing your weight on your knee, you can place a folded blanket or towel under…

For yoga I recommend finding a beginners or basic yoga class. Check out the app called "Mind Body". It has a Class location function based on your zip code. It will also pull Up Pilates classes A good yoga teacher will help you with the practice based on YOUR fitness and ability level. If you happen to select one that…

I have this happen sometimes. Maybe an electrolyte issue. You may want to try eating a banana about 20 to 30 min prior to working out and/or adding an intra-workout supplement powder to your water. I've been using MuscleTech's Monster Amino, which seems to do the job, but there may be a less expensive alternative. Hope…

Where are you cramping up?

You are absolutely correct. You can achieve a leaner or bulkier physique with weights, but must develop a specific lifting program for this. Ex. Emphasizing balanced, multi-muscle group movements, more reps with lighter weights vs fewer reps with heavier weights, etc. Yoga and swimming are also awesome training tools for…

OP, what is your target weight and is it set up in your MFP goals? For example, my height is 5'6"", current weight is about 178, my target weight is 155. Based on this my daily calorie goal is about 1500 Cala/day. I'd suggest cutting your calorie goal by 100 cal/day for a month and see if that has an impact.

Drink, enjoy and try not to be so hard on yourself. You are clearly doing very well.

Here's an article that may help depending on what your fitness goals are. I tend to eat more carbs the day before cardio/running to help build up glycogen before running. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/the-basics-of-body-recomposition-macronutrient-calculations-to-lose-fat-and-gain-muscle/

I agree with most of the posters above regarding the use of BCAAs and muscle growth. A well balanced diet with all of the essential amino acids is best. That said, I have found that taking a small amount of BCAAs immediately after a heavy weight lifting session significantly reduces muscle soreness.

The term toxicity has no meaning without specifying a dose/amount. BTW chocolate is also mood altering and most "artificial" chemicals added to fast foods are not random, but added intentionally to serve a particular function. I'm not making the argument that these are healthy or desirable, but the hyperbole in this…

Great Job!!

I would consult your physician for a good recommendation on a physical therapist.

Your daily calorie needs should be based on your current weight, your target weight and your workout schedule.

Most protein bars have as much carbs or more as protein. You don't need to use them, but I generally have a few a week as between meal snacks or grab one if I'm on the go and know it may be awhile before I have an opportunity to eat a proper meal (like on flights).

I agree. I used to call Friday my cheat day, but no longer do this as the thinking promotes a negative view about my food. I've taken.a bit of a longer view and consider my change in nutrition a life choice about what and how much I eat. When I choose to eat something that is rich in fats or sugar (ex. Molten lava cake or…

Jalapeño, sliced in half seeds removed or not depending on how much heat you like (I leave seeds), filled with almond or peanut butter. Sounds weird, but very good.

I'd send it back. If they can't get it right, then find another Resto!
