Thank you for all of your replies. Still new to all this. I went way over my calories last night drinking wine so today I'll rein it in a bit :) x

Congrats :)

Thank you for your reply The only thing I've really changed about my diet is portion sizes. I still eat salty food, I eat crisps but instead of a share bag I have a single pack... and so on, I log everything I eat too. Once at 22 stone my periods stopped altogether that was about 8 years ago. :)

I believe it's dehydration I'm the opposite though I retain water when I drink :)

Do you like nuts and seeds? So good for you and high in calories! I don't really have anymore advice as I'm doing the opposite and trying to lose but I was recently alarmed at just how high nuts are. Good luck :)
-
Just added you. I have the same to lose :)
-
That is fabulous. Well done :)

20 mins is Great You're burning calories. Walk too, I've been doing my walking indoors to reach my 10000 steps. I posted about it the other day and was reccomded to try Leslie sansone videos on YouTube, well worth a go. :)

Back in 2012 I lost over 100 pounds. I've since gained back 90 that's why I'm here. I can't believe I let it happen, but I did, so here's to getting on plan and staying on plan and when we slip getting straight back on plan. When I lost my weight I did it in a fast unhealthy way. Getting used to this losing just a pound a…

Thank you ladies :) It's got to be better than nothing, I've been dancing too, it adds up quicker xx
-
Thanks guys.. so is that 3lb what you've been aiming for overall? is that what you've wanted to lose since the new year, have you been on plan?

So do you think it would make more sense to not weigh weekly and maybe every 3/4 weeks? By the way she's eaten more carbs and is ovulating and this uphill walking is not just increased activity but it's new activity Helpful! Thank you so much :)

That's so great to hear. It's been staring me in the face the whole time .... CICO! We got this xx

Yes!!! Thank you so much for your replies, I too have always associated eating with guilt and failure. When I was drinking my (albeit low fat) hot chocolate last night I couldn't help but think this is all nonsense. But yes it's how 'normal' people eat. Everything in moderation. That word moderation is a whole new concept…

I agree with what you're saying but try not to get wound up over what people say, maybe it's best you are done if you can't tolerate people's opinions or advice. I don't mean to sound harsh I just mean that if you're so wound up it's probably best for you if you stop reading. Best of luck

Have you put your profile to 'very active' I weigh a little less than you and I was playing about with the 'goals' section and if I put mine to highly active it suggests I eat that many too. I'm actually very inactive so eat 1700

That's fabulous! So the process really is working for you. I always go by the rule that if something seems too good to be true it usually is. But this so far so good seems to going ok. Mad to think I've tried every diet out there apart from the simple tried and tested calorie counting! Ha xx
-
I know how that feels, through mad crazy unsustainable diets in 2012 I lost 120 pounds I've gained it all back plus some. So mad at myself xx
-
Thanks guys I think that's it, I'm really struggling to trust the process. I've never felt so normal on a diet that it's making me feel abnormal ha :)

I need to lose about the same but I'm going to aim for 100 and see how I go from there. Food wise I have been eating lean meat all weighed out and cooked without oil, plenty of seasoning (all calories are logged) I try to fill up on meals with meat and veggies and a bit of rice maybe or cous cous or potato, that way I can…

I'm amazed at how many people eat back their exercise calories. A few years back I lost a load of weight by exercising like crazy and hardly eating... I gained it all back This time I'm in NO rush. I wanna do this properly, I want to do it eating plenty and reducing my intake as I go along so maybe I will eat some back and…

Thank you for all of your replies, it's all very helpful

Hi there, I just came on here to ask the same question. I'm allowed just over 1700, that seems like a hell of a lot. Although I'm able to easily eat them all and could happily go over but I imagined I'd be eating about 1200! I thought I'd signed up to a hard slog of hunger but this seems a bit too good to be true
