Thanks for your reply. When using the calorie calculator I selected ‘daily exercise’ which suggested my maintenance calories were ~1900. I went on a 3 day holiday with my children a couple of weeks ago, my partner was meant to come but we separated a few weeks before hand and so I went on my own with the kids. I haven’t had time to read all the comments on here, just wondering if anyone can tell me why it’s so important not to drink diet soda? I always thought it was fine to drink? I have a Diet Coke maybe once or twice a week so if it’s something I need to stop I’d like to know :D

I’m 5’4.5, I dropped 30lbs before (to 120lb) and only went down one UK dress size! I was probably only a few pounds away from dropping another size though.

I love chocolate too! It feels like a constant battle to be honest. At the moment I am allowing myself a small sweet snack of 100-130 calories so I can make sure it fits into my calorie goal. A small kitkat is 104 calories, for example. My problem is, I associate watching a good film or series with eating chocolate

Just weighed in for this week. 63.55kg / 140.1lbs Not sure how I haven’t lost more as I’ve been eating the right calories all week! Hoping for a better loss next week!

My goal is 1200 too, but on exercise days up to 1300/1400. What exercise are you doing? I do 35mins cardio 4x a week at the moment.

I don’t do any resistance training at all, which is probably why I didn’t like how I looked when I was slimmer... I was planning on incorporating resistance training once I trimmed down a bit. But should I be doing this already? I do cardio 4x a week. I tend to eat 1400 on cardio days and 1200 when I don’t exercise. Still…

Thanks ladies! Interesting to see how different we all are despite being similar stats. Even at 55kg, I didn’t look skinny! I was slim but had slight muffin tops and no definition. When I get nearer to my goal I’ll be looking at body recomp!

I control hunger by getting as much protein as I can, and for both lunch and dinner I have a decent portion of veggies to help keep me fuller for longer.
