  • i don't think its just a case of being short or tall, i'm 5 ft and cam have up to 1700 calories a day. lots of other factors must come into it, age, muscle mass,activity levels. maybe its what you eat,i find lots of protein keeps hunger at bay . depends on what your goal is too... lose weight or maintenance
  • ive been doing the keto diet and i have to say its stopped my sugar cravings. even eating fruit and veg and getting sugar from natural sources i was still having alot of sugar. my normal sugar intake since starting keto is around 2g a day.

  • when i first started fitness pal set my calorie goal at 1200, i did lose weight but started to feel hungry the fitter i became. i did some research and it suggested i should eat nearer 1470 per day. since then i felt less hungry and the weight loss has kick started again. sometimes days i eat as much as 1700.
