I had thyroid cancer in college and had mine removed. Once your levels are stabilized, the CICO should work just fine, you just have to figure out how many calories you burn and how many you are eating. Just make sure that you are logging accurately and eating less than you burn. There are lots of free weight training and…

Honestly, I looked up How many calories it would take to maintain on my normal activity level for several weights in my healthy BMI range. Then picked a number that I thought I could consistently eat at and still enjoy my life. Lol

Sometimes I just take all my exercise calories and leftover calories from my deficit and quick add them all in for the day.... it works just fine as long as you're active and don't do it five, six days in a row or something silly like that.

It depends on how intense the steps are. Say I run, shop at the mall, and walk around my classroom looking at students' papers all in one day. All of those things are done at a different intensity ( from hardest to least hard in this particular list) they will have drastically different calorie burns. I would just go with…

Try putting in how many yards/ meters you swam (regardless of stroke) within the correct timeframe into another website, and then write the calories into MFP. If it helps today i swam 400 meters this afternoon and my Fitbit only gave me about 60 calories so all of the entries on this site are most likely way off

Actually, I've noticed the opposite. Sometimes I'll be teaching and move around the rug or from a table to a desk and back again, later I'll see that or told me I was seated during that time
-
I started fairly heavy for my height (still am, I'm working on it) and very active so I could drink one whatever I liked as long as I had nonfat or almond milk and no whip.... I was just thinking this morning that I'm getting to the point where the drinks are no longer worth the calories actually

I don't like the posts that say " help! I have an event of some sort ( that I had to have known about for months) coming up in 3 weeks, I need to lose 50 lbs instantly!" Or what have you...
-
Bummer for those people. Honestly, Thinking that you have to eat "perfectly" all day every day and never miss a day at the gym must add a ton of unnecessary stress and headache to the equation

I like MapMyRun

Inches come off slowly. You only need to measure once a month at most or you will drive yourself crazy

Actually, I find running outside much easier than the treadmill and am actually a bit relieved when winter ends! It's also a lot less tedious

Why do you ask a question only to argue individually with every single person that tries to help you?
-
You can look at mine... My last couple days have been thoroughly unimpressive though...
-
Personally I would find a track or go outside... Running excessively on either sidewalks or treadmill surfaces however will eventually cause injury

This is below the number of calories I'm still able to lose at and I weigh a less and am short so you would most likely be ok with a few hundred more... I do run though, and I walk around a lot I subtract 25 percent of my exercise calories and then eat that number

I feel like this would take years not days

I use all of it

They taste fine for a protein bar--nothing to rave about to your friends. I couldn't get through a whole one today without feeling full, but of course this morning I was very disinterested in food

Thanks

It really doesn't torch calories the way the internet claims that it does. I usually only burn 250-300 calories for a 50 minute class and I definitely weigh more than you. You will get stronger though! As far as weight loss goes, it depends on how many calories you eat compared to how many you burn throughout the day. No…
-
Not necessarily... I have mine synced and eat most of my exercise calories ( only leaving 2-300, out of over a thousand exercise calories some days) and I'm set to active. I lost 2 lbs per week until I changed my goal to 1.5

Gum helps, so does flavored tea. Personally I save room for chocolate each day, I've had a 200 cal. budget but am trying to cut it back
-
I have inadvertently because I can't eat as much of certain things and still feel like I'm healthy and within my calorie goal, and I don't want a ton of it sitting around my house (I.e. Pizza, Chinese food, etc)
-
Put it in your pocket. That's what I do when shopping or pushing a stroller

I actually like the recipes, but I use foods that are a little "less processed" when I make them. You can find a ton of their recipes on Pinterest
