  • Phew! I had surgery yesterday and put on 6 pounds! Cleary as I didn’t eat much (nil by mouth), it wasn’t food related but a real wake up call to how much fluid/hydration can drastically impact what you see on the scales. Ignoring weight, I’m so bloated, won’t get jeans comfortably on so hoping for fast deflation!!

  • Congratulations on your baby! Exciting time for you (and tiring!). I have managed to add 5 pounds over past few weeks so need to lose 12 pounds to get to target. Shifting the last half st one is proving an issue ! Failed over 2019 (but kept weight pretty stable which is an achievement) so really got to get there this year!
  • So with you.... but today (or tomorrow depending on the time where you are!) is a new day, clean slate. I’ve over indulged..... time to clean up

  • Interesting that Noom’s weaknesses emphasise MFP strength. @javaking9 - I’ve never used the MFP community feature either. It’s so active that it’s a bit daunting!!
  • How long did you try it for? I’ve cancelled my 2 month initial subscription so it ends in a week anyway - feel a bit stupid now for paying it 😱
  • Great result! It hasn’t worked for me - the coach has added no value, just asking me standard questions and I’ve found the community aspect weak? MFP I think is the way to go for me!

On the plus side for me were: - early on, helpful and interesting daily content on eating motivation and behaviour - Colour coding of food types to help focus on healthier eating On the negative side: - food library of foods poor, bar coding…
  • Hi Heather! How’s it going? I’ve been going to SW for 18 months- I lost weight (1.5 stone) the first year and have kept it off but I really really want to lose this last half stone - so I’m using MFP to calorie count as I think portion control is one of my problems (oh, and wine!)
