  • It is nice to see another person who has returned and working at getting the pounds off as well as staying in shape. I am 76 and just keeping to 1200 calories a day and getting in 10,000 steps has me pumped and motivated at the consistent weight loss of 1 to 1.5 pounds a week..Good luck to you Karen in Virginia

  • I just found this group and am so liking the support and camaraderie. My name is Lyttlefish, I am over 70 years old, and I live on the prairies in Alberta, Canada My ongoing resolutions for each day: Meditate before breakfast 15 minutes Log in to MFP and keep logging all food and exercise Brisk Walking at least 30 minutes…

I am really happy with how I feel and the weight is going down about 1.5 pounds a week. • oh I am eating my brunch...steamed wild salmon, cauliflower mash and steamed broccoli with butter..delish.
  • Yes, I tend to agree with you..when I pay attention to the calories ( using a food scale ), get in some cardio ( walking at least 30 minutes non-stop) and see a deficit..I DO LOSE THE POUNDS. However, one must be consistent.
  • I have no exact goal weight. I go by 5's and so at the moment my goal is 175. I am at 176 at present When I reach the 175 ( I hope by the end of this week) I will aim for 170 I find it not so overwhelming to set a target that is far away ( like 50 pounds) I am like the turtle..slow and easy wins the race..
  • Kudos to you..I can only imagine your struggle and the great feeling of elation you must have. I am on Keto and love it..my energy levels are up..never have the "need to eat" voice in my head, which by the way is clearer than when I ate wheat and sugar. I am 76 by the way..thanks for posting.
  • Always great to step out of your comfort zone. Hair will always grow back. If you have a GOOD stylist, he/she will cut to your face shape. I say GO FOR IT GIRL patricia
  • Good Morning: I have been with MFP since Calorie Count closed down. I used to follow a regular food plan and was happy with the way it went. However, I changed my eating habits and let go of wheat and sugar. Now, I follow the KETO diet and have never felt healthier. As mentioned, I did. not do it for weight loss, although…
