Hey there Kyle. I'm also 24, and I started out at 326. I'm hovering at about 300 now, and my goal is at least to lose another 50. Seems like our journeys are similar. Feel free to add me if you'd like. :]

Always looking for new buddies. I'm especially looking for people that share often, and like to comment on posts. I'm going to do the same.

Thanks for all the posts guys! It's nice to have a more engaging group of friends. I think people are less likely to quit when they are actively posting about their day and motivating others. You might get a message from me too if you haven't logged in for a couple of days! ;D

Also, I really like it when people set up their profile on MFP. I feel like people who spend more time here are more willing to do what they need to to lose the weight and get healthy!

Did you turn bluetooth off on accident? Fitbit needs to sync the device and the app to get information added to MFP.

Man there is so many posts about Poptarts and Oreos! Nooooooo! *Quickly thinks of something healthy* Broccoli, um... kale! um... brussel sprouts! Ahhh there we go... But seriously, I looked at the nutrition facts for Poptarts and my mouth dropped. Might not seem bad at first, but... the serving size is half of what's in…

Hit that 3-6 lbs barrier, then BUST it. 10+ lbs can show a big difference, and more loss means more change... You just have to want it.

My fiance is in a lot better shape than me, mostly because her metabolism is amazingly fast and she has done martial arts all of her life. I still recently bought her a Fitbit to match mine, and she is a bit competitive with the steps! I know metabolism won't last forever, and there is nothing wrong with working out when…

There's nothing wrong with walking in the rain. It's spontaneous and a lot of fun. You can always dry off when you get home! Get out, get wet, have fun!

For me, peanut butter has replace ice cream, cake, cookies, and other deserts. I'm reduced to a spoonful of peanut butter or a square of dark chocolate. My issue is the craving that comes after PB or chocolate... I need a glass of milk too!

You got this! Stay active and keep going every day and I'm confident that you'll reach your goal! One baby step is maybe making a post or two every day on the community forums, to at least expose yourself to a group of people that are motivated to get healthy as well? I think that is a fair and attainable goal that will…

Looks like we all have some work to do! Feel free to add me as well, and we can take on this journey together. Losing weight and becoming healthy is much more manageable with support and motivation.
-
@nene1197 Just click on the person's name, then click on it again, then you'll see the option to add (or tap if you're on the app). @mrsmgtime Welcome to the MFP community. Hopefully you'll find a massive amount of motivation from your peers, as we are all focused on the same goal: being more healthy. Feel free to add me…

It's great to have you here. Congrats on your 7th day of reaching your goals! And congrats on the 2.2 lbs lost so far! One of the biggest motivators is a group of supportive folks that can guide you and cheer you along in your endeavors. I am just beginning and I feel a lot better about myself and I feel much more able to…

Welcome to the MFP community! We all have our backstories, but one thing we all have in common: We have a goal to change ourselves for the better. If you stick around and really work at it, I know you will be successful in achieving your goals!
-
Hopefully you get even more support and motivation from MFP too! Welcome!
-
Welcome to the club, Ryne! Hopefully you find like 50 people who are willing to be motivating and supportive of you. You got one right here. Keep at it and you'll hit your goals in time!

The barcode scanner is amazing and saves a lot of time!
-
The app is great but it has some work to do to be more more user friendly in the community section. That's okay, still a great platform to stay connected!
-
Hey there! There are lots of people on this journey, and the sense of community I've felt this last few days is amazing. I'm looking for friends that actively respond to posts to boost motivation, cause I'm going to be doing the same for you! Feel free to give me an add!

Thanks everyone for the kind welcomes (and thanks to the peeps that added me! )
-
