Can confirm! They had a major update, so the platform now supports groups / community use on the web version of the site! You should still check out the app (it's so great) but the PC / web version is up and running for our social features!!

@potts_amanda Come join us on MyNetDiary! We've got over 50 folks in the group and the app is way easier to use than this one ever was. I've completely stopped using this one, but we're all happily posting in the new one together. If you add me, I've got the same name and profile pic over yonder so I can add you to our…

Hey everyone, just checking in. There are 40 of us that have moved over to MyNetDiary so far - don't want to leave you behind!! The logging is easier, the app works SO much better, and everything is nicer over there, I promise. If you're interested, make sure to download the MyNetDiary MOBILE APP (not the PC desktop…
-
@dolfins1962 - you'll have to download the mobile app to find the community and group! For some reason the web and mobile versions are separate, so the social part is on mobile. It's worth it!!
-
My username on MyNetDiary is Momopeach32 (capital M) and I've got the same profile pic!

If you know other folks who aren't in this community, share this link with them! community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/118372-calorie-count-people
-
P.S. @deehartcc - A lot of us are migrating to MyNetDiary to give it a try. The platform is a LOT more user friendly and intuitive, and it's structured the way CalorieCount was. Just wanted to let you know!! The other app is honestly great

Hey all, here's my Friend Invite Link if you haven't found me yet on MyNetDiary: mynetdiary.com/community/friendinvitations/131862?token=3a26a951-18ee-4e85-96ee-bad4ab58ddcc My name is Momopeach32 (capital M) and I've got the same profile picture over there too! To get your own link, go to Community -- Friends -- Invite…

@BrightEyedAgain - It's actually really intuitive! The free version of the app is great, and it still has a barcode scanner that isn't locked behind a paywall. The app also uses a "Net calories' model rather than hitting a hard goal, so if you go into the "daily analysis" tab on the left of the menu, it gives you a…
-
@deehartcc - You are most welcome!! <3 My life has been a roller coaster the last few years as well, so I wanted to make sure you were able to keep in touch with all of us!
-
@BrightEyedAgain - You can send your friends this link to join! community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/118372-calorie-count-people

UPDATE - Just for funsies, I'm researching other calorie counting apps and found one called MyNetDiary that actually functions and looks a bit like CalorieCount did. The daily calorie goal functions more like the "net calories" feature that the old site did which means you get a "green" mark at the end of the day by…

@kcstar73 Oh I'm so glad you figured it out - it's one of those quirky things we take for granted on other social sites! This platform really is a throwback to early 2000s discussion boards and such, I'm surprised they're pushing all of use to use this instead of the more modern newsfeed feature. Ah well, guess we're stuck…

I'm definitely staying. I've been using this app for far too long and have a larger social base on here, plus I've gotten used to using it since Calorie Count went away. Which, in my opinion, had a much better social concept behind it, because CLEARLY all of us got to know one another through it!! Used to love posting…

@Trishcolli - Let us know if you want more admins on the page or need help setting this sort of thing up! I'd be happy to help arrange some organizaiton to the group if that helps you!! I've done some of this before!
-
@poisonesse - I was thinking the same thing. By having designated threads it can help slio conversations into "categories" rather than a confusing mess. We could also have a "Life Updates" section too!
-
@potts_amanda - Don't forget to tag the entire username!! If you only use acronyms it'll tag some random account and won't let folks know you're talking to them
-
@Gabizcc @kcstar73 There is a way!! You can use the "@" symbol and type the person's name to tag them in a comment which should (in theory) send a notification to that user. You have to make sure to type the full username in correctly, including punctuation, numbers, or any underscores (_) so it works. MFP is using an…
-
@Trishcolli - thanks for setting this up. Guess I'm going to have to start using this on the desktop version. It does NOT work well on mobile, I gave up!

Let me go first - recently I found Gardein F'sh Fillets! These little things are delicious! I used some warmed Mission Street Tacos and made a small portion of homemade Vegan Tartar Sauce, courtesy of Minimalist Baker, and these were GOOD. They were super easy to make too! You can microwave to save time before pan frying,…

EVERYONE I am so excited!! One of my favorite vegan bloggers (Rabbit + Wolves) just announced that she's releasing a new cookbook this spring. The last one she came out with was called Southern Vegan, and it is BY FAR one of my favorites sitting on my shelf. Comfort foods, easy to make, everything tastes stellar! The new…

@infinicca NO WAY, that's how I got started in these groups too!! I wasn't able to keep up with it either, so I ended up leaving my spot for folks who actually could lol I also kept getting hurt (multiple car accidents, minor surger - unrelated) and had a few job changes in there as well!! What house do you usually sort…
-
@eturtlet Omg I haven't been back here either, they've made it harder to get to your groups these days!! Sounds like you've been having some luck with the salads, it sounds good!! Do you have a favorite dressing you tend to use? I really like making veggie hummus wraps for lunch, and I'll bring a little container of salad…
-
@eturtlet How's the veg journey been going? I've been keeping up with meal prepping every week (I choose a few recipes and buy the ingredients to have them on hand!) so I've had some luck with it, and it means I don't end up wasting any produce either! Do you have access to a blender? You can always do fruit smoothies for…
-
@infinicca Good luck with your challenge! What sort is it? A virtual one? Sorry for the delay here - my app has been acting up and not letting me actually get to the groups, so I've been just keeping to the log for a bit. Hopefully your challenge is going well so far!! I used to do one or two of those and they were really…
-
@infinicca - thank you for sharing your story with us! The last few years have been especially tough for everyone, and it sounds like you've also had other stuff going on too. Sending good vibes your way ♥️ I don't think we have many members in this group, but I hope we can help! It's good to have folks to talk to :)…

@Ghostofachance You may be able to find them and borrow them from the library too! There are a TON of cool resources at the library that have helped me. I frequently borrow books to see if I like them and if they're good enough I'll go ahead and purchase for my cookbook collection! Keeps things fresh. Also you're right re:…
-
@eturtlet let us know if you would like any ideas or recipes! It's tough trying to figure everything out from scratch, especially if there are certain foods you aren't fond of! It's cool that you've been making those small choices here and there. If you're ever on the go and need an easy veg meal, surprisingly Taco Bell is…
-
@Ghostofachance I've switched to peanut butter sometimes too, except for the violife when I want something sweet! Their feta block is pretty good - I've made that baked feta and cherry tomato pasta a few times (the one that got popular on TikTok) and its really good!! Have to give it a few more minutes to re-solidify than…
-
@Ghostofachance honestly you're right. Most of the time I tend to go with foods that avoid cheese just to make life easier. Violife brand is actually pretty decent, and tends to be the "closest" in general? Their cream cheese is actually really good, especially on sweet flavored bagels! It has a nice savory almost sweet…
