I tried a few different combinations of milk, low-cal syrup etc. Gave up and went back to my CM sugar-free french vanilla powdered creamer plus plenty of Splenda. It is 120 calories of sweet and creamy goodness that prompts me to get up early for work! :)

I just returned from a wonderful 4-day camping trip (no Wi-Fi, cell service, etc.). The small evening campfire (in a metal fire ring, locally purchased fire wood, etc.) was the perfect way for us to relax after a day on the river. Thankfully, I've never lived where fire bans were common; and have found most campers to be…

Teri - You can do this! You have been such a motivator on this board. I think we all feel like we are struggling from time to time (I sure have this week). It's been rough with Easter and all. So glad you are recommitting to logging every day. We've got your back! Welcome to all the new friends on "Starting for the 88th…

Hi 88th Timers! I think this may be my 188th try, but this is the longest I've stuck with it. Yippee! :) I started THIS ATTEMPT on January 2, and my goal is to lose 1 pound per week. So far I am at 14 weeks and down 13.5 pounds, so I am pleased with that. I also made it to Onderland a few weeks ago... It has been an…

I have had migraines (progressed to chronic migraines) for over 50 years (yikes!) and I've been all over the place as far as weight goes (normal, overweight, obese). You have given me another reason to keep the weight loss going if it may help with the migraines and all that goes with them. Thank you so much!!!! AND I am…

Wishing you the best of losses!! You can do it! :)

When I started my weight loss journey again this year, I DREADED the idea of getting into my jeans... I had two pair that "fit" very tight, and both were shredded in the inner thigh area. The past couple of weeks I noticed that I can now COMFORTABLY wear my newer jeans that had been hiding in the drawer under my old…

If I don't weigh or measure my portion sizes, I go end up going way over my daily goal... every time! I love the Kind Nut Butter Filled Honey Almond Butter bars, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, Muscle Milk, etc. When I'm craving sugar, 5 plain M&Ms usually does the trick (ok, sometimes it takes 20 - LOL). Good luck... you…

SW (this time):210 CW: 205 GW: 160 Hello all! I'm so pleased to find this board. I’m only 5’1” and have been overweight most of my life. Right now, I’m just trying to get back to a weight where I can walk comfortably, fit in clothing without X's, and keep up with friends. In 2007, I was diagnosed with chronic migraine…

I prelog my dessert calories and eat it midway between dinner and bedtime. Probably not the best way to lose weight, but it has helped keep me on program and not feel deprived. So far I'm losing at the rate I want to, which is about 1 pound per week. Since weight loss (then maintenance) will always be part of my life, I…

What is an exercise hack that helps you get through a workout? While walking, I really enjoy listening to audiobooks. While swimming laps, I just get bored and keep going.

Welcome to all the new members!! This is a great group of friendly supportive people.

Bonnie, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend with cancer and the loss of his brother. Sending my condolences, as well as prayers for peace and comfort tomorrow. Teri

How do you stay on track when traveling? I have to eat gluten free (it's a migraine trigger), so eating out in a new area is a hassle in general. If driving - I usually bring along ready-made food and snacks. If flying - I pack what I have room for, generally just eat two meals a day, and try to keep it simple so I can get…
