I remember when there was no internet at all.

It could be accomplished. But I think it really depends on how much weight in total the OP is overweight by. If OP is overweight in total by say 25 lbs at the most. Then chances of successfully losing 17 to 20 lbs are not in her favor. On the other hand, if OP is overweight by say 50 lbs, it is much more likely she can…

If you do not have any type of medical condition that they would be bad for you. No reason not to eat them. Nuts, seeds and milk butters by the way are on almost every type of food plan. I eat low carb and eat them regularly. The key is just not to go over your calorie allotment.

Great Progress and it shows. And coming through all of the emotional baggage huge. You go Lady! And you are right each person needs to find what works for them and go for it!

Wow that is wonderful news, congratulations.

For shipping, I have a couple of things that work really well. If you order anything from Amazon, the bubble air packets. They work great in boxes with baked goods. Key is to make sure baked goods cannot move around inside box, Mark fragile so hopefully however they are moving through the system, they do not crush too…

They all look sensational! I will definitely look up the chocolate peanut butter energy bites.

It could partially be that you are not really eating enough calories per day. I am only suggesting this, as I noticed you have chosen the 1200 number which is the lowest number the system allows for women. What made you choose that number? Are you fairly short? Not very active lifestyle, other than on days you walk?…

5 lbs, I keep my carbs right around 45-50. But I had a Sunday where I hit 79, and about 60 were some good salty popcorn. Just will say brain stopped working, and mouth was open. It took about 5 days to get that out of system. I am positive that a good 4 lbs was water weight, because the salt factor on that popcorn.

Not arguing at all. But this is literally easier said than done. I fall in the category I do not think that the frozen desserts are evil or bad. I just have issues controlling my intake. So I decided what was best for me. Yet, I can and do buy the treats my husband likes, as he is neither a diabetic, or have a weight…

Kenkoh massging sandals. There are youtubes all about them. I have had mine about a month now. They take awhile to get used to. Have arch supports, also lots of nodules that literally massage your feet while wearing them. Can wear barefoot, or with socks. I am still at socks stage. One of the things I was told by my…

Do you believe your wife sees herself as an enabler? Did your wife go with you to any follow up Dr. appointments? I just ask because based on the medical issues alone, I would have thought she would be in the loop of your battles you need to overcome. Read lots of interesting ideas in this post. If your wife is doing the…

Ice Cream is a huge trigger for me. So over time, I got off it, and replaced with Frozen lowfat yogurt. Somewhat better, but still an issue when in a 24 hour period one eats the whole half gallon. So when I started up again here. I told myself again, no ice cream, no frozen yogurt in the house. If I am going to eat it. We…

Yes, I will. It is at my house, I am making the food. The more challenging for me is the Christmas Eve/Christmas day. But even for this Thursday I am saving about 100 calories each day for that pie!

My guess, is when she wrote and asked is because people had hit the disagree button, it now has 5. kimny72 gave a spot on answer as to why people may have hit the disagree button.

Sounds like they are going to do the EMG test, which is a nerve conduction test. They can be done for a number of things, besides neuropathy. Example I had one done in 2018, which found I had a severly compressed ulnar nerve in right arm. End result was surgery which greatly improved that specific issue. Neuropathy itself,…

Congratulations on the weight loss. I know how that can help. I have improved mine some as well. More veges, also take fish oil capsules, lots more exercise. And I now eat fish 3X a week going between Salmon, Halibut, and turbot mostly. We will see as I have a blood test for all of this on the 26th.

For MS? I do not think so. Saw a few article's , seemed more about assisting with varying symptoms people have. VS slowing progression that happens in the brain. Do I have MS? No, but my husband does. And we get a number of mags, and stay on top of research for MS. There are a number of supplements that are suggested for…

Write down a ;list for all the reasons YOU want to lose weight and get healthy. Not just think it, write it down. Also write down, what would keep you from being successful. Choose which is what you really want. Post the list where you will see it. Look at it daily. When I started last year, lost 72 lbs, fell off wagon…

An interesting footnote, more Dr's are starting to rely on the A1C to diagnose diabetes. And I am not saying this is bad. But what is not all rosy with this approach is that typically they are done 90 days apart. There is a test that can be done at the 6 week level called Fructosamine. Also the one hour glucose fasting…

snha, I totally understand where you are coming from, you think I worked hard I want them lower. But stop and just think, where you would be if you had not been diligently working on keeping pretty good blood sugar control. I also can vouch that the www.bloodsugar 101 website is really worth a read. Interesting information…

MY bigger issue by far will be December. I am doing the cooking for Thanksgiving, and staying in town. So doing cornish hens, we are not turkey eaters. And I am planning on some side dishes and dessert but staying low carb all the way. Try pre-logging Consider using a smaller plate, than a full size dinner plate. And fill…

Well the hole (intended) issue with the donut theory is a bit off. I am betting the majority of people who visit Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme do not get just one donut. Yes I agree one is 190 calories, but many go for the chocolate covered so that shoots to 240 per donut. But I digress people say they are addicted to…

Gosh these days there are other types than plain old white flour, that still taste good. Before switching to low carb, I used a variety of other flours than just the basic all purpose. I like to experiment in the kitchen. Whole wheat flour, sometimes mix with some white if starting to get used to. Buckwheat, can be used…

Chicken wings minus all that breading and fying. Use 1 to 2 T. of Baking Powder, and whatever seasonings you like put in bag. Throw the chicken wings, and or parts in. Bake at 250 for 30 min, then at 450 for 40 min. They come out golden brown. Baking Powder basically no calories. Chicken breasts, heat oven to 450. Use…

Oh there is a bias no doubt about that. I 100% agree how weight comes off is based on CICO, that is a true statement. But what is also truth, is what each person does to achieve that. And this is where the road totally forks. What I mean is many people successfully lose weight by counting calories and nothing else. Others…
