Anything not “worth it”—whether thanks sacrificing earlier in the day to eat more later, or even slowing my goals. Right now, that includes fast food, soft drinks, most bread, most convienence foods. The tiramisu at my neighborhood Italian joint—worth it! Sandwich breads and store bought desserts? Nah.

Sirloin tip roast, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and broccoli. Weighing out my mashed potatoes was an exercise in self-discipline, but well worth it.

I prep both breakfast and lunch to take to work. (I hit the gym around 6:30, in the office around 8). I do something different each week for variety. Last week was beef and chicken fajita bowls with extra veggies for lunch and mashed sweet potatoes and turkey sausage for breakfast. This week is Greek chicken pita bowls and…

Whether or not exercise leads to increased weight loss, it’s good for mind-body-spirit. What kind of activities do you do? I usually exercise 30-60 minutes per day, a mix of cardio, stregnth, and flexibility type exercises.

Regular old pig for me. I like turkey sausage well enough, but turkey bacon tastes like sadness to me. I have also picked up lamb bacon at my farmer’s market a time or two. Rich and delicious.

I’m a big fan. I don’t know if it’s the most effective,or efficient, but it’s something I don’t mind doing 3-4 times a week.

I usually do weekend meal prep so that I can have a hot, tasty meal that keeps me away from the snack bar. Fajitas bowls, Greek chicken pita bowls, turkey pesto meatballs, sheet pan chicken and veg roasts, etc. Pinterest has a ton of ideas. Then some weeks I say eff it and get a bagged salad and some frozen grilled chicken…

Pasta with red sauce. Or a burger. Or a steak. Or Mexican food. Or lamb biryani. Or fried chicken Yeah, the mystery of why I'm fat just continues to elude....

This morning I cooked two patties of turkey sausage, took those bad boys out, and then cooked a scrambled egg in the same pan. Add hot sauce and a side of black coffee, morning made. :-) My breakfasts most of this week were mashed sweet potatoes with chopped nuts and raisins with a side of turkey sausage. Probably my…

I've done HelloFresh and Blue Apron. I much prefer Blue Apron. However, my reasons for choosing a meal delivery service had to do more with the planning/meal prep aspect. (built in portion control is an added bonus, but not why I subscribed). I've been very impressed with the quality of some of the dishes. It's also helped…
