  • This is super. I am down 15 lbs. since October 1, 2021. I have between 10 - 20 more to go. I am making little changes at a time so they stick. I find if I do something too drastic, it is easy to go back to my old ways. My doc was thrilled as my B/P went down as did my cholesterol as my weight went down.
  • In September I went to the doc for a cough and my normally normal B/P was up, so was my weight. When I saw her in October, my B/P was not as high, but she still wanted it monitored. I had started back on MFP 10/1 and had lost about 5 lbs. I promised her I'd lose more weight, and if my B/P didn't come down, I'd consider…
  • I find the real denim at a ranch supply store.
  • I fit into an old pair of jeans without my watch telling me it detected a workout. Baby steps.
  • I agree with doing the stairs as a starter. I tried to do a full push-up on my 60th birthday and fell flat on my face. I moved to a couch (you could start with a wall or table/counter if you don't have stairs). I then moved to a chair, a bench and lowered the bench. Getting to the floor in about 6 mos. Due to a shoulder…
  • Hello everyone. Reading the posts, it looks like a good place to be. I've had a very good day, my young grandchildren are step one in being a bit safer in the world, what more can an Abuela ask? No big challenges or changes in my life. Worked out 30 min. of kickboxing, and had a little time so I walked on the treadmill, 20…
  • Exercise: Yes, for 1 hour. Including the fact I pushed myself on weights (bench pressed with dumbbells, 20# in each hand). Logged, yes. Just finished. Under calories, yes. Passes - 0 I think this is the first time in many years, including when I ran 6 miles a day, and usually stayed around a size 2 to 4, that I haven't…
  • Recorded calories Stayed under my limit Worked out for 1 hour I was watching my 5. y.o. grandson because he was supposed to get his first vax today, and my daughter had been told early last week he was a possible contact in his pre-K (they won't tell them if it is his class, or even in their other building). So she kept…
  • Craziness took over. But I stuck with all three. I worked out for 45 minutes (I usually keep Sunday as a rest day). I tracked and kept (barely) within my calories.
  • What a great inspiring post. You look fantastic, so healthy.
  • Hello everyone. We go to visit our son & his family every Thanksgiving (except last year, but I want to just skip that whole year), and will happily be going again this year. I'll probably have passes that week because me, my husband, and my son all love to cook, especially together. I'm the only one who has a 'weight'…
  • I stayed in calorie budget. I kept track of all my food. I worked out 1 hr.
  • What an inspiration you are. Congratulations on the advanced degree, the babies, the weight loss, and good luck with the new prosthetics.
  • Exercise: 60 minutes walking on treadmill, 30 minutes of weights (My Peak Challenge) Tracked and stayed in calories.
  • Before retirement, my husband worked from home. He would always take a walk down the driveway and back on his breaks, and when he got done at the end of the day. Our drive is 1/3 mile down hill, and then same but up. It takes 10 minutes. We still walk the drive at least once or twice a day. We do live where it gets cold…
  • Exercise: 30 minutes of kickboxing, 30 minutes of fast walking on treadmill Logging - Everything. It keeps me accountable when I plan ahead. Calorie Range: Stayed well within it.
  • I didn't let family drama sabotage my goals.
  • Fast walked 60 minutes. Calories Yes Tracking Yes Patted myself on the back because there was huge drama from a family member and I decided they weren't going to live in my head, and focused on me.
  • Tracked everything. Calories within limit. Fast walked 60 minutes.
  • Congratulations. Your hard work is paying off and shows, you look so healthy.
  • My second time sticking to MFP. I started with My Peak Challenge back in 2017, and did great for 2 years, lost 29 lbs. first 6 mos, kept it off 1 1/2 yrs. Stopped tracking and gained some back, then Covid hit, and it all went...well you get it. I've gained 35 lbs. Though I'm 8 lbs. down, 2 lbs since starting MFP seriously…
  • I'm 'barely' 5' 1", 61 times around the sun, and maintain 132-133 lbs. with 1500 calories. I'm between sizes 4 - 6, but because of a good workout program (My Peak Challenge) I'm pretty solid. It consists of weights, interval training, circuit training, and is focused on moving, especially outdoors on the non training days,…
