  • Hi Jennifer! I'm new here as well so could be wrong too but saying hello to everyone still! I've been up and down on weight loss and I tend to burn out quickly if I don't get into some good habits. I'm hoping something to keep me accountable will help to get over that initial hump I always struggle with. I want so badly to…
  • If you're really on top of it, counting calories and staying active with your start weight I do think it could be possible. A general rule is that it is healthy to lose 1lb a week for every 100lbs you weigh, so at 200+ 2lbs a week is safe. The best you can do is try though! Even if you just barely miss it at least you lost…
  • Understand that some weeks you'll do amazing and others not as much. There can be so many factors that change how that scale looks, but it's all about how you feel and look not the scale! Also the biggest diet killer for me was letting a cheat day go wild. So a reward or day off is so healthy sometimes but be careful to…
  • It's hard to start not giving into cravings and to get out and be active! It can be so easy to stay home and do work on the laptop with snacks always in hand.
  • I get you! When I lost weight before I felt wonderful! But I let things slip again, all we can do is try again!
  • I'm going 1200 too, did it before as well! Lost 30 pounds before (that I've gained back this pass 2 years). But it worked best for me when I set my goal for 1200 because I often would end up jusssssst above that number. I was never great with my last meal, I'd always misjudge the numbers and go over, but with a number set…
  • I am in the same boat! But keep going forward and don't let the negatives overtake all the positives you've accomplished!
  • I got rejected by a guy for a date and I think my weight plays a role. I want to lose weight to show him up (on top of all the good reasons to lose weight of course)
  • I've yo-yoed so many times it's crazy. For me setting a clear goal and putting something simple out to remind me of it helps. An example is a jar of little pebbles that I add to for every .5 lbs I lose. I also have a motivational note on my fridge that makes me stop and think before going in for a snack. Little things to…
  • Younger here but my goal is the same, 150. So I have about 50 lbs to go now!
  • I switched over to having fruit with some cinnamon sprinkled on when I wanted sugary things (strawberries are my favorite). Already my tastes have changed and I rarely crave sugar. I actually find some foods too sweet now, like some banana bread a coworker made that I had troube finishing.
  • Added! And open to adds as well
  • My ex would always tell me I am beautiful the way I looked and I didn't need to lose a pound, even though I'm far into the obese side of the scale. I loved that he was sweet to me but it didn't help my motivation at all. He was attracted to bigger women and me losing weight wasn't as good looking to him. Haha backwards…
  • Killing time before a D&D session!
  • Roasted chickpeas or pears right now. Both pretty easy to grab and snack on when needed.
  • Even a month in my cravings for sweets has basicly disappeared. I usually would buy a slice of cake or pie from the store all the time but now some sliced pear with cinnamon on top in plenty sweet for me! My want for crackers (cheez-itz mostly) is still hanging around though, not sure what to substitute for that yet.
