Closest place is 43 miles away, yikes. I might just see if I can request it. Thanks!

I worked at Chick Fil A for a few years and you would not believe the amount of people who would order a salad, make a comment about how they're trying to be "health conscious" and then proceed to ask for an extra packet of ALR dressing... they fit nicely in the group of people that would ask for fries with no backs…

Scam. I feel bad for the people who spend upwards of hundreds of dollars on it based on testimonials that are either fake or from people who are using it in conjunction with actual weight loss. The "crazy wrap thing" isn't actually crazy at all. It's glorified saran wrap... They also sell incredibly overpriced protein…

Where do people buy halo top? I live in NC and all that's around me is a Walmart and a Piggly Wiggly lol, but I'm up for a little drive to try it. So many people love it.

Combinations of spices, fruits, and other ingredients can be added to make different flavors. I've seen some but wanted to know what others enjoyed and get some new ideas.

According to the information you provided, your TDEE is about 2,050. 800 calories is way, way, way too low for you or anyone really.

I've gotten pretty good at ordering healthy food no matter where I go. I don't really see any restaurant as being "healthy" vs "unhealthy" because pretty much all of them offer a variety of foods. I typically get veggies, fruit or rice instead of fries, go for grilled meats over fried, and always get water. If someone was…

A calorie is a calorie is a calorie. I track mine, not because I expect them to have a bunch of calories, but because I like to keep track of my nutrients. My diet also consists of a lot of fruits and veggies, as most diets should, so if I didn't track them that'd be easily a few hundred unaccounted for calories.

When I switched from using measuring cups, tablespoons, etc. to a scale, I realized I was actually under eating. When I was measuring my food I knew there would be a discrepancy so to make up for it I ate a little bit less of it. Now that I'm weighing my food I actually feel like I have a little bit more freedom and I…

That's not quite how it works. What you're referring to is what people like to call "starvation mode," which is a myth. The only sliver of truth to this is what's called adaptive thermogenesis. Yes, your metabolism slows down, but it is because you are losing weight, not because you are eating less. It is completely…

I can't say anything that nobody else has, but I would like to place emphasis on the calories. You should never aim below 1200. According to your stats and assumed energy level with kids and working out every day, your TDEE is about 2130. You really should not be shaving more than 20% off of your TDEE, which comes out to…

Carbs don't make you gain weight. Overeating makes you gain weight? It is easy to overeat carbs? Sure, especially if you're a pasta and pizza lover, but that still doesn't make it the carbs fault, it's the fault of eating too much.

I don't really know how to explain how to weigh something, as it's pretty simple. I weigh everything, including most of my liquids because I'm just comfortable doing it. When you go to select your entry make sure your selecting the correct state of the food (frozen, raw, cooked). Also, make sure your selecting the correct…

You diet. There's no way to just get abs as you can't spot reduce fat. You have to reduce your overall body fat %. Before you even start dieting you should probably figure out how much you weigh to figure out your TDEE, so I'd start with doing that. Keep in mind that for most people, the belly is the last place that the…

Why wouldn't it be healthy? As long as it doesn't put you over your calorie goal. :) I usually finish off my night with a cup of tea and a couple pieces of dark chocolate. I get a sweet tooth and hate going to bed hungry.

I stopped talking to people other than my husband about my diet. I'm 5'4" and started at 145-148 (I would fluctuate). I'm only aiming to lose 15-20 lbs, and because that's such a small amount, I have to cut and count very closely and precisely. I was told by my family and friends that I wasn't eating enough and "look…

I don't, nor do I count seasonings that say they are 0 calories. I have a big enough deficit to not worry about it, plus MFP doesn't log all of my steps because I don't carry my phone with me all day, so I assume they cancel each other out.

What is your height and current weight if you don't mind me asking? 107 is an extremely low weight unless you're under 5ft tall... 1000-1300 is also very low. You should never aim to eat less than 1200, especially if you're coming from a binge ED past. Calculate your TDEE and eat about 20% less than that. Make sure you're…

Birth control doesn't directly affect your weight. What it affects is hormones, appetite, energy, etc. which then contribute to weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you are having these issues and they may be able to prescribe something on top of the birth control you're on to balance you out, so to speak. I'm a year in on…

I actually try and stay under my calorie goal for the week and anything left over I add onto Saturday as a "treat." Usually it's only a couple hundred, but I don't feel the need to treat myself typically because I eat what makes me happy throughout the week, while making sure it's within my calorie goal. If you find…

Contrary to what it might look like, you don't lose a lot of blood. A few ounces at most. It's certainly not enough to make a 1lb difference. I don't even bother weighing or measuring myself from the day before I start to the end. I start off really bloated and about 2lbs heavier then it slowly decreases over the next week…

It's important to note as well that the 1.3 is your activity factor and can be different for other individual's equations. Just wanted OP to be aware. :)

Slow progress is better than no progress. Slow but steady weight loss is much easier to maintain than drastically cutting your calories. This is my second time around losing weight. The first time I was impatient and cut my calories by more than 20% of my TDEE. The weight came off fast, but I had a hard time maintaining…

Protein powder! You can do so much more than just make drinks with it. I keep chocolate and vanilla on hand and put it in my coffee, oatmeal, shakes, pancakes, cookies, nicecream, etc. It's a super easy way to get all your protein with minimal effort if you don't typically eat many foods with protein.

Found your problem. You've only been calorie counting for a month. Before then, you were not keeping track of your calories and thus overeating. Eating at multiple times during the day as opposed to three meals doesn't really make your diet any healthier. Regardless of when you eat, you just need to make sure you're eating…

I drink a Vernor's about twice a month. I would drink them more, but I can only get them when I go up north so that's my treat every couple weeks. It's probably a good thing they're not sold where I live lol. Other than that it's just water, tea, and coffee for me.

If you're going off of MFP step calculator, don't. I can clean my house, walk my dog, jog for 30 minutes, hit the gym and it'll still tell me I only took 500 steps lol.
-
I haven't, but I don't see a problem with it as long as you're getting the amount of calories needed for your age, weight, and how far along you are (can be determined online @ http://fittobepregnant.com/pregnancy-breastfeeding-calorie-calculator/ ) and NOT eating at a deficit. If I were you I'd probably only keep track of…

I wouldn't focus on the number on the scale, especially not in the beginning of your diet. It can be quite discouraging. Taking progress pictures and measurements is a much better way to track progress, just make sure you're taking them at the same time. I take mine in the morning about 20 minutes after getting up, before…

There is nothing wrong with eating any of those things. Are they the healthiest thing for you? Not quite, but if you can enjoy them while staying at or under your calorie goal then why not? As long as they are keeping track of everything correctly there is no reason to make things so complicated. Do/do not eat lists are…
