  • Always out. I escape treadmills like the plague. Actually some of the best runs I remember were in the rain, there is something about 20-25km in the pouring rain, drenched from the very first minute to the last, that the same distance and course on a sunny day won't give me. It's sort of primal, liberating...priceless.
  • I make my own by blending cannellini beans (canned) and a piece of pickled pepper, olive oil optional if my calorie allotment will allow. To me it tastes the same for so many calories less.
  • I think you are over-restricting and on the verge of an eating disorder. Barre is a lovely workout but in no way it's "intense cardio", your hands are trembling, you are cutting out sugars (of any kind, fruit too) completely, a 100 calorie slip off is "blew it"... Do seek professional help!!
  • I burn 1000-1200 cals in an olympic triathlon, 1.5km open water swim/40km bike/10k run. You can use this as a comparison on the estimation and what you did.
  • Plan to eat them. There is no point in eating so low you're bringing yourself to binging. Do allow more calories as a start instead...
  • @aleahurst really depends on your food preferences but if it's the crunch you're missing (I do!) there are alternatives...carrot chips, kale chips, oven baked chips...right now I'm using nori sheets cut up, toasting them in a non-stick pan with a little salt sprinkled on them. Helps a lot with the craving for salty and…
  • But the internet is working! Now go on youtube and look for a bodyweight workout, dance workout, zumba, pilates, yoga...ANYTHING that you like and will keep you busy for a while. That or you take out the hoover and start cleaning, tidying up the room/flat/house. Your choice.
  • @aleahurst Weekend splurge, it's a must. I think it's what puts me back every time, if I was able to avoid it...but to be honest I'm not. @Alisalgal and @aleahurst Wonderful you get free honey!! I see the bee boxes here in the country, never knew someone who has them. So the beekepers really do get stung? I suppose that…
  • Congratulations!! What great news!
  • I'm not into yoga but since there seem to be so many of you enjoying it I thought I'd post a link. Do Yoga with Me Came across it a few weeks ago, most videos are free.
  • Catching up! One day offline and there's plenty to read here. OMG reading your comments about snow and ice storms makes me feel so lucky...we get snow, but nothing like that. It's technically spring here, apricot/peach orchards are in blossom and they're beautiful. @happysherri How did they tourneament go? @jessiquoi Way…
  • @jessiquoi Keep hanging in there girl, better choices are there, just reach for them. Make it happen!
  • @CT0526 nah, don't sweat it. So many new parents sleep even less normally...the only difference is that my baby is two wheeled carbon and doesn't cry at night. Lol Well, this morning my wristband was saying 5h 57min sleep so I guess I made it!! Lol Much needed, really. I never made it to find time to read but I made that…
  • That sounds more like food police than a diet to be honest. Besides what you want, what DO you feel, for real? Just changing the word, allow vs. restrict, it won't make it any different...you can call chicken a horse but it is still going to be a horse.
  • @aleahurst hey, you do anti-inflammatory foods too! Thought it was just me...I started when I had an injury and my ankle litterally deflated more with the food change than steroids, I didn't think it was possible. @AlisalGal Well done! Lol well, unless you want to get into cheesemaking...but then milk will be packaged too,…
  • Roshi...let me guess, Maldives? If that's the case I think your diet is already pretty good...rice, fish...bluntly said people in 1st world countries come here just to plan to eat that. It's probably a good training program you are missing, look at the suggestions of bodyweight programs people have posted before me.…
  • Meh. So much for my beautiful behaviour that went flying right out the window. Stood up way too much after physio last night, felt a mix of sick and stressed, ended up eating way too much...not proud of it. Been experimenting a lot with my diet recently, trying to make things simpler and in some ways tastier but I'll admit…
  • @socalnikki22 That's exactly it, I do that too. I think I could do without this or that and save some calories but forget I'm already restricting, so that goes beyond common sense and there I binge. Bad idea, we can both do better than that! @kkelly1223 Welcome onboard! @jessiquoi It helps me a lot to come here. Shows that…
  • Yours, in other words, is called a whole body transplant!! Congratulations for your results, I hope to be like you at 50!
  • Well done you! Quite happy with how I'm doing at the moment. I had some calories left last night and thought I could save them but that'd mean over-restricting and actually planting seed for a binge later on. So I went and had a few steamed veggies to make up the calories, apparently I warded off a binge too. Happy about…
  • Woohoo!!! Way to go!! That's excellent.
  • @AlisalGal wow, more snow! Fruit trees are blossoming here instead! But it changes your whole attitude to see the excitement in your dogs' eyes. @happysherri well said, every opportuinity missed is gone forever. @aleahurst Mosquitoes, no, they are currently trying to take over the world. Sit and watch because I think they…
  • THIS
  • @theamazingcassiebunny @fangcat623 not a bad idea really, how about a vow? @happysherri share some of that coffee, I went for some today and I found out there was only decaf in the house. Meh!! @aleahurst Cesenatico, Italy. Beautiful beach town, I can be biased but I love this country! @theamazingcassiebunny Brilliant…
  • Hello there! Just the same here, time to break the habit. Those 3 pounds are getting a little too attached to me. How do you make that okra? It's unusual here, hence I usually turn it into a slimy disaster. Well the neighbours had one of their parties overnight, which means I got just 3 hours sleep and had a late night…
  • Hey there, I'd like to join! I'm so bad at self care, I have been realizing that recently and really need to learn. Years over years of strict dieting, or better say throwing down all that was on my schedule that I liked it or not, were not that helpful on that side. Had sort of an epiphany last week where I sat in front…
  • They do that at work here, I usually tell them they chain me in the basement overnight so I cannot leave and most definitely cannot eat. Proof is that I'm in so early every morning! They chuckle and the embarrassing moment is over!
  • Non dairy (soy-based) cream...I thought the thing was like water and beans. I was completely wrong, 141 calories for 100g and a tablespoon is 25g, do the math!
  • May I be 100% fully completely honest? There are a million people on this planet and plenty of them are on this website too that would KILL to look like you right now. I assume she looks like a fitness model to be in a position to judge at all, and should have a full 8 pack too. Doesn't she? Then she is not in a position…
  • From an athlete to another. Do you "taper" in your sport before a competition? Have you ever noticed how you'd actually lose some weight during a taper? That assuming you do tapers, us in triathlon do. It's cortisol usually anyway, the long hours training raise it, then leptin goes down and you know the effect is…
