It has to do with how the bowels stimulate the uterus and the uterus stimulates the bowels due to proximity. Which is why Castor Oil (a laxative) helps stimulate labour. So all the uterine contractions and stimulation actually promotes more contractions and movement of the bowels during TOM. Source: I am a nurse /…

I don't log every single thing and sometimes I log inaccurately out of choice - I am not saying that it is a good plan just that it is what I do. But, to combat that I leave myself an extra 100-200 calorie buffer most days to combat the "gotta try the pasta sauce" while I am cooking it, or the "how did this batch of…

I am doing a C25K after a year of not running and despite having just run two days in a row (only 11 minutes each, but still) I find myself on a rest day and *wanting* to run but I have to stick to the program. I missed the feeling of wanting to run.

I get you! There is so much at the nursing stations at work right now that I am hiding out in the back room to do my work so my coworkers eat it all before I get to it. Avoidance is just another will power technique, right? .... right? I definitely am an abstainer, I can't do moderation at this point in my weight loss. You…

My favourite is Peanut butter and sharp cheddar cheese grilled sandwiches. Yum.

Sounds great! I sent you a friends request :)

Hey there, I would love some friends who have made the decision to lose weight and realize that this is going to be a long haul commitment. I have 75lbs to lose and it is going to take me the better part of 12-18 months. I would love friends who will be there when I get to the finish line :)

I am down to join the club if you ladies are still around and looking for more. I am 5'4", 224.6lbs as of this morning, and hoping to get down to 150lbs. :) I am a nurse and have a really messed up schedule as I only work 12 hour night shifts, but I am here. I will send a few of you a friend request.

Hi everyone new to this kinda thing, but here I go: Starting weight - 231lbs (Nov 29th) Current weight - 225.8 (Dec 6th) December goal - 220lbs Ultimate goal - 165lbs 1st - 228.2lbs 8th - 15th - 22nd - 29th - 31st - Initial weight loss looks dramatic, but I've only just started so the majority of it is water weight.…

Hey, I thought about responding to you a while ago, but I never did. So sorry. I am a nurse and work 12 hours shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. So, needless to say my body's drive for food is pretty weird and scattered. My night shifts, I do a combination of power through the first part of the day - I wake up for a night…

I am down 7 pounds with 13 days of tight logging and little to no exercise. I meet or exceed my fat and protein macros and let everything else fall out where it may. I also try to eat low sodium and get minimum 2L water a day, so some of that weight is obviously shedding retained water weight. 224lbs starting to 217lbs…

I do this too. I have a minimum 3 squares of chocolate a day :)
-
Hey, I just thought I would share what works for me. I usually pre-log all my foods. Which both makes my day easier, and allows me eat a couple squares of chocolate each day. I am a stress eater, and I have a huge sweet tooth, but knowing that for "dessert" or in a moment of weakness I can have 3, 6, 9, 15, whatever I have…

I get you. The very highest weight in my "healthy" BMI is technically 90lbs away. It is very daunting. So I give myself little goals, while having a big number in the back of my head. My current "small" goal is to get back under 200lbs (219 this am). The most important thing I have found is the act of getting on here and…
