One of my favorite ways of looking at it is “everything in moderation, including moderation.” It’s okay to have a crazy day once in a blue moon. As long as they’re exceptions and not regular habits, you’re going to do fine, and it sounds like you’re working hard on keeping your regular habit healthy.

Dance practice for 1 hour, no-rules freestyle dance for 1 hour (with ab work, resistance bands, and light weights thrown in for fun), then shovel work in the garden for about 3 hours, and a quick walk down the block.

On the weekend, I turn on my dance playlist and workout / rockout for about an hour—no rules, just dance like nobody’s watching (because nobody is). It may not be everyone’s thing, but it makes my heart happy.
