  • Can we trade PM's? She has done an amazing job since being elected with this, natural disasters, a terrorist attack and all while being a new mum too. I do admire her really.
  • Nope. It didn't for weight loss and it works fine for maintenance but it only once a week or so that I have to estimate anyway. Personally I have been more likely to overestimate than underestimate those calories anyway.
  • It is in Australia as I haven't seen flour on the shelves for over a week!
  • Pepsi Max and sugar-free gum. Good thing that there is plenty of both of those on the shelves and they were on special. I did also buy a 2 kg bag of rice when I would normally only buy one. I also bought a whole kg of tomatoes rather than just a couple as it was cheaper that way. Other than that it has been business as…
  • This although I will normally err on the side of caution and choose one with a calorie count that is a bit higher than the average one, or guess the weight and add a little extra.
  • I am still safe in that regards. I have decided to self-isolate as I have a bit of a head cold. I know it is not corona and I am neither coughing or sneezing at the moment but I don't want to risk it. I went for a walk earlier as I have a reserve right next to my house. Fortunately, it was pretty much deserted and I was…
  • Mine start working again at 8:01 pm so all is good.
  • Me at the moment!
  • I am another that is most worried about my mental health. If I catch the virus I know I am fit and healthy, putting me in a low-risk category. However, my husband is over 60 and my daughter has chronic asthma so this is a concern. As far as my mental health goes, I am an introvert by nature so being alone is more the norm.…
  • I am all set for self-isolation except for not having fresh fruit and vegetables for a period of time will be hard, especially when I eat around 10 serves of the stuff a day.
  • Woolworths in Australia starting to implement this today. Time will tell how well it works. I do think there will be some seniors out there that abuse this system and do even more stockpiling than they already are but it will be of great assistance to those that have really been struggling in recent weeks.
  • It’s time for a bit of humour. I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic by offering a ‘humor break’. . . Today I went to COSTCO to buy a bag of food for my dog. Already in line, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog. I stare at her (those who know me will imagine my gaze 🤔🤦🏽‍♂️😳) ... But then why would I be buying dog food,…
  • I just received an email that starting Monday until the end of June all of our lectures and tutorials will be online. I knew this was a when rather than an if but I do wonder how all of this distancing will impact on people's mental health. We have to do what we can to protect ourselves and those around us but I am sure…
  • It makes it much harder to reach your goals, maintain your weight loss, and have a healthy relationship with food if you keep labelling foods as healthy or unhealthy. Your diet should be mainly foods that are high in nutrition that will help you reach your required amounts of fats, proteins and micronutrients. Once those…
  • I've walked over 70,000 steps in a day and nothing much happened really, except that I was really tired by the end of the day. However, I was wearing supportive shoes and socks and my fitness was already high so was prepared. Unlike this guy though, I was walking outside rather than on a treadmill which is exactly the same…
  • If it doesn't have calories (or minimal) then I am not fussy. I have them all in various products.
  • This is what I do also. Before I had a Fitbit I used Libra. I find that daily weigh-ins and recording this helps me understand fluctuations. This way I only show concern with the trend rather than normal daily fluctuations.
  • I still have plenty of cloth nappies from when my kids were babies. Perfect for the job and much better than newspaper.
  • You have to remember that the vast majority of confirmed cases in Australia are from people that contracted it overseas and brought it back with them. There have only been a few cases of person to person spread on Australian soil. Those countries experiencing the most cases are all just leaving their winter. Time will tell…
  • My guess is that the number of cases in the southern hemisphere will escalate with the cooler weather and combined with seasonal flu will push emergency departments to breaking point. However, if more are taking precautions to avoid coronavirus then the number of cases of seasonal flu may be significantly less than normal
  • What I really want to highlight is that most people that crave bread hanker from some of this butter placed on it. Much more crave-worthy when the bread is still warm and the butter melts into it!

  • From my understanding, the vast majority of cases in Australia are from people who have returned from other countries rather than transmission to others when they have returned home. That may change now that the weather is cooling down with autumn. I have read that the virus doesn't survive in the heat but who knows what…
