  • I have decided I just won't mention weight loss when I see her again. It will be over two months, and she sees hundreds of people. She will probably forget. In the mean time I am eating sensibly and losing slowly. Thanks for the advice!
  • I just got all of the sugary things out of the house. I now have things like cottage cheese with cinnamon and sweet and low, gives the sweet taste and extra protein. Also fresh strawberries with sweet and low on them. I used to eat big bags of M and Ms also. I used to buy Snickers by the case at Sams and hide them around…
  • I can eat one sugar cookie and the next day I am up a pound. I am sure that pure sugar makes me hold water, because it disappears the day after. The same thing happens when I have a glass of wine.
  • Thank you. I have obsessed about numbers on the scale my whole adult life. I ate a cookie today and am punishing myself, even though it was just exercise calories. (It was the last cookie in the house!) Thank you ladies for the support.

  • I am also having trouble reaching 1200 calories a day unless I purposely eat something like peanut butter. I am getting 850 or so calories a day and feeling very full. I seriously don't understand why I should just eat more to reach a number goal. I am losing about 1- 1.5 lbs. a week. Should we eat just for the sake of…
  • Please stop punishing yourself. Sometimes we just need those extras. Work a little harder the next day. I used to freak out when I ate half an apple. Now I let it go and I sleep better and the scale goes down the second day.
  • I'm 67 1/2 and am finding this round of weight loss much much harder than the ones in the past. I currently am averaging 850 calories a day and still only losing a pound a week.
