  • You have to want to lose weight. That's it.

  • Just log every thing you eat. Stay on deficit and you'll be fine Try to be a little conservative on the exercise calories. After I lost about 20 lbs I was stuck there for maybe another 3 week, but during those 3 week I could feel my body changing. Don't forget to fit foods you like into your diet.
  • 18 lbs in 8 weeks is a lot. What are your stats?

  • You can do 2500. It should be good. Figure out things that you like and eat those. Personally, I cut out all sodas. So I have water with almost every meal. Except when I drink beer. Look up meal plans Just worry about sticking to your calories and logging everything correctly
  • So you're having 2500 a day? How tall? What's the height?
  • Milk. And spinach should do the trick. Cooking in a cast iron pan can also add iron to your diet. Iron is my fave macro B)
  • I have around 350 Cal's for breakfast Coffee oatmeal About 600 for lunch Brisket sandwich and banana chips. Then I have about 900 to play with in the evenings
  • I personally try to eat healthy because I think it fuels my body more efficiently. It's like filling up your car with premium instead of regular gasoline.
  • You're here to beat up on people who are trying to better themselves? Go elsewhere with that. The OP is honest and made great strides, and you're judging and you don't even know his height. You're the one that needs to focus and execute and get down from your high horse
  • I don't think there is anything wrong with eating sweets. Just log it. Know what it is. I'm going to go out on a big limb and say this; after you guys went off the rails, you stopped logging. When the logging stops, mentally all personal responsibility is gone. So eat what you like and log, soon you'll find out how to…
  • 1100-1300 is super low. So very possible You are starving yourself for the most part. If you keep it up, you'll probably pass out during the hotter summer months, or you'll just probably give up
  • Naa. You don't need a pedometer. That is calculated in when you enter your activity level, unless you are doing some vigerous separate walking exercises. The heart monitors are good, but that just tells you if you're getting more proficient at the exercises that you're doing. I guess the question you should ask yourself is…
  • Was it a good movie though?
  • Marathon, not a Sprint.
  • I guess you don't want to give your height and weight You lost 2lbs in 2 weeks so I personally don't think you need any help.
  • Sounds like you arnt eating enough when on deficit,. What are your stats?
  • It's so crazy when you think that, that is 3 bowling balls. You lost 3 bowling balls
  • Probably water weight. If you're working out, you would probably be consuming the 1800 calories though. If find that if I get into a groove where I'm not starving myself, I lose more than when I'm starving myself
  • If you want to celebrate. Go ahead and do it. Just log everything. Try to be on the conservative side and look up the meals. Who cares if people see you logging. The food is going into your body. No need to hide and pretend like you're doing something illegal
  • First of all you're in a normal weight range. In fact, if you ask me you are in the OPTIMAL weight range for your height. Of you were eating less, you probably couldn't fuel the activities that you do. I don't think you need much help OP
  • Are you exerrcising? What is your height and age?
  • If you're working out hard, you may not be fueling yourself efficiently. Are you eating back your calories?
  • This is so true from an evolutionationary-biology perspective. Kudos
  • Well processed sugar is metabolized more quickly, than sugar from fruit, which causes insulin spikes. Because fruit has fiber, and most fruit expand in the gut, the metabolization is slower, and people feel more full on less sugar--from fruit. I guess I wasn't very clear in my first post. Sugar is sugar, but the delivery…
  • I Personally think that natural sugar is different than processed sugar, and your body responds to fruit differently.
  • From what I understand naturally occurring sodium is good for you. They are in foods like beets and milk, and they can actually lower blood pressure. I personally don't think you have to watch out for the naturally occurring stuff in veggie. Just watch for the excess in stuff in things like Chinese food. Bread - not the…

  • Congratulations on figuring it out real quick. I think I mentioned that diet soda is not directly responsible for gaining weight? I'm pretty sure that I mentioned that. So people that tend to drink diet soda More likely overweight? Yes Crave more sweets? Maybe Eat more because of other factors? Maybe I can say that people…
  • Well thyroid conditions are one of the things that directly affect weight loss You might need to see a doctor about that.
  • You can testify that you've drank a million diet cokes, every day and you became a fitness model, it doesn't mean much to the lay-person. Fact is, if you are obese and you drink diet soda, you usually don't lose weight. Diet soda are not directly involved in gaining weight. But they are involved non the less.…
  • I've had them and I didn't mind them so much
