Does your workplace offer assessment and support for vicarious trauma? Workers in fields like yours are very susceptible and it can result in PTSD. I can relate to your situation.

MFP works. No secrets or shortcuts. Enter your stats accurately then log your intake accurately and stay within the recommended daily calories and macros and you will lose weight.

I was a WW member when I started on MFP. I cancelled my membership at WW pretty quickly. I am more successful here, the database is much better, it's free and I get way more support from people here. Having said that, to each their own, there are groups here for folks using WW and MFP. Good luck in your journey.

I find more support through MFP friends rather than groups. I keep a reasonable number of friends so that I can support and get to know them all, at least a bit. It works for me. Feel free to add me if you'd care to. I'm active here everyday, I log everyday and my diary is open.

I am losing weight at a great pace without additional exercise. It's all about calories in and calories out. Enter your stats honestly and follow the guidelines that MFP gives you and you will lose weight. This works! Good luck.

CICO If you burn more calories than you eat you will lose weight. Trust MFP. If you enter your stats, mfp will tell you how many calories you should eat and if you follow it you will lose weight. I think it is key to figure out why we don't allow ourselves to be successful. Why do we sabotage the weight loss that we want so badly and need for good health. What are we afraid of? What are we angry about? This is what I'm working on and I could relate to what you were saying OP.

MFP works better for me, and it's free. I have felt way more supported here than I ever did at WW, and less judged.
