One of my goals was 200 sit ups per week. Yesterday I managed 160 in one session. Very pleased with myself :)

Thanks for that. I saw it on Amazon and wondered

Thanks, both are great suggestions. For the Granola, since I do not have a sweet tooth. I wonder what other things I could add and skip the maple syrup

Congratulations. Great effort that deserved a reward. Won't ask how many hours to do 17000 steps

Then we had our surgery about the same time. I had mine a bit younger because of playing cricket. If it is inflamed then you will be restricted as you know. I don't take pain killers every day, but I do when exercising. Hope it improves for you Ray

How long ago was your knee replacement? I have had one replaced and will get the other one done when it gets worse. Currently both give me pain but I keep exercising. Try to do as low impact as possible. I do a lot of cycling and have a stationery bike in my living room. Rowing is also good. Or your gym may have a rope…

My biggest surprise was seeing the position he now holds. Will try to be more open minded, but there are days when it seems nothing we were told is true

I track weight and measurements. I noticed the loss of my fat face and have tracked the loss of inches off my stomach. However mentally all I see is the fat that I still have to lose. Today I am wearing a shirt that I could not get into 2 months ago. :)

That sounds like a really good program. Could add some core exercises like the plank and something for your back, I know we were only talking about weights. Good luck

Assume DL means dead lift which is a great exercise. Go for any of the ones that use multiple muscles rather than isolated ones. Although just by using free weights you use more muscles for stability. And obviously start slow and build up ☝️

Got my fit bit report yesterday and hit 52000 steps last week. Definite result :)

Hi, I have similar goals to you. I want to lose the fat but also have a body that my partner will like. I believe that strength training is an important part of the mix because it is supposed to boost your metabolism. I do a mix of training and recently added a boxing class. I was told to use creatine and have started…

Had a good first week. These threads are great for keeping me focused. The main goal is still a long way away, so it's good to hit these midi goals :)
-
Unbelievable, I lost half a pound rather than the 5 gain the scales said yesterday. And body fat dropped from 37.8 to 37 with a gain in muscle. Never been so happy with a small loss :)
-
Lol, not my day. Put in the new batteries and the weight went up. Will reset at the new level. At least I was so fired up, I set a new PB on Bench Press. :)
-
Thanks it's worth trying.

I am cutting back on the alcohol anyway. But isn't alcohol a sugar? Thought that would be on the bad list too?
-
Have started well. 2 hours in the gym last night. Now to keep it going.
-
Yeh, hit my goals for work outs and reduced alcohol. Usually February is the beginning of the slide for me after a good January. This forum has helped to keep me on track. Even better my weight is falling steadily and I have much more energy. Started boxing classes last month and really enjoying the workout :)
-
I would like to step up my fitness goals. Steps 42000 per week Sit ups 200 per week Indoor bike 90 minutes per week By the end of the month do a 2 minute plank, not sure if that one is achievable. And keep within calories and drinking goals. Not much lol
-
For me smoked salmon and scrambled eggs has been my breakfast of choice. Made my first Fathead Pizza last week and definitely a fan. :)
-
I like the idea of a spring shape up. These midi goals help keep me focused on the path to my major goals. Thanks
-
Still kept to my low drinking goal. Need to get more exercise in this week particularly weights. Have to think of my goals for next month.
-
I didn't do so well last week. Work life balance was 90% work. Was lucky to have lost weight. Only thing I was happy with is that having failed a few nights I didn't give it away. Have started boxing classes and they are also keeping me honest. Back on track this week. Good luck everyone. Ray

Feb goals. 3 to 4 workouts per week, last week did 6,probably over did it. Now carrying small leg injury. Also no more than 6 days with alcohol, still sitting on 2 despite real temptations. This thread is a great idea. Ray

Thing that impressed me most, was that a vegetables now filled your plate. So my mind felt full before I had eaten 1 carrot and a courgette (plus salmon)
-
Made first meal last night with the spiralizer. Salmon, ribbons of carrots and courgettes with a. Salsa dressing. Everything except the salmon used the spiralizer. We absolutely loved it. Will play again tonight

So even my beloved tomato juice has sugar added. I feel betrayed

Surely if you use the hand held one you will also burn some calories. Can I log this under Cardio? :-)

One by Mueller. Plastic with metal blades. Can't wait to play :-)
