  • How has no-one mentioned "I've plateaued for 2 weeks" seriously I'm new to trying to lose weight and it even bugs me when I see the word plateau in a title sorry
  • I'd never shared my weight with anyone before but since losing I feel i can tell him now as im not as heavy as i was so not as embarassed if that makes sense. I am about 28lb heavier than him too :-1: so our joke now is that I WILL weigh the same or lower than his weight someday. It's my motivation lol
  • Thank you all, very insightful. I'm not using any sweetener at the moment I'm quite ok without ie black coffee, no sweet treats etc but....... I want to start using a protein shake (which contains sucrolose), I have no idea how much as it doesn't say but it sounds like it will be ok (fingers crossed)

  • I had this and finally figured out why... I think. My fitness pal sets your calories at a deficit and also takes into account what you set your daily movement too.   • Thank you all, I currently only workout at home, HIIT sessions, some weights and punch bag, was debating buying a rowing machine too as I read it helps with fitness and muscle.
  • I dislike lots of foods I'm so picky, but when I decide I don't like it that's it I won't try again and again to like it. Allthough I too don't like tomatoes, but sundried tomatoes stuffed in a chicken breast with some motzerella I will eat :smiley:

  • I do keto/low carb have done since January this year. So far so good, loads of energy, sleeping better, minimal cravings (still get a want for sugar) and bonus point I have lost 23lb. BUT yes you do still have to watch your calories. it would be unrealistic to say you can eat keto, 5000calories and still lose weight…

  • You dont need supplements to stay healthy, I'm on keto and have never eaten better. I think I am a lot healthier being on keto no matter what anyone may think. I eat more veg and salad than I ever have as I used to fill up on starchy potatoes/rice/pasta/bread, now it's more veggies and salads with good meat and poultry and…

  • From what I've been told and believe no your not eating too much protein a lot of people eat more protein than anything else. It is just calorie deficit needed to lose weight. Also keto/ low carb.....you do still have to watch calories maybe that's why it didn't work for you?!
  • If that's too high I'm in trouble lol. I am trying keto (20g carbs) and my protein is almost always around the same or higher than fats (I find it hard to get the fat in the diet) but I am losing at around 1.5lb a week. calorie deficit obviously also helps there.
