Terrible advice and one to avoid. Vitamins Minerals Phytonutrients Fiber What do you suggest? Supplements? C'mon!

He addresses that in the podcast. Taubes actually apologized to Hall for some of his comments.

I agree, you're confused. First, if she's an athlete why is her bonehead coach not monitoring her intake? Secondly, losing at that rate will effect her performance due to loss of muscle! My tip was to eat more so she's not losing weight or not losing so fast. She stated she's losing the suggested 2lb per week but a person…

Get your levels checked before changing anything. Really important to have a physical and full metabolic panel.

I completely agree. That's why I don't tell clients to cut out foods. I simply have them add in whole foods and over time they naturally settle into an 80-90% whole lifestyle.

Rice is good for you. Whole grains are good for you. Colorful veggies and fruit, all open game. So you're doing 1200 and eating back some or all of your exercise calories? If so, before and after exercise hit the starches. Easy peasy.

I mostly agree with you. Suppose we just eat bread and sugary food because we enjoy it, and don't subscribe to food having any type of morality? No good/bad or clean/dirty. ;)

1 stone = 14lbs That's a little over 2lb per week. Water manipulation will help. Eat at a moderate deficit. Tighten up nutrition to 90/10. Increase movement like walking. Cardio 2x a week resistance training 3. You can get down there or damn close.

What would it be like if you weighed 5 pounds more but was 3 sizes less?

What are your stats? Age Height Weight Goal weight Caloric intake and how long you've been eating that way? Exercise? Last question: If this is so important, why aren't you eating better? Last last question: Are you losing the weight just for the wedding? Or is this some wake up call?

CarboHYDRATE. Probably extra water. 1250-1300 sounds low IMO and without more info it's hard to help you. Maybe it's time to reverse diet up to a maintenance level for a week or so?

John Berardis first law "If it's in your house, you, or someone you love will eat it." This goes for any type of food/drink. Thing is, nothing stops me from driving to Giant to buy a taster cake cupcake. So my advice, get it out of the house, establish the habit, then use moderation later.
