1200 Calories is way to little for me to survive on. I have to do some sort of exercise every single day, just to earn enough calories for me to eat my dinner! lol But I guess that's a good motivation though.

@Cherimoose Great meme LOL Good thing I dropped a few lbs before you made it ;) Maybe you should try being less pissed off about what others are doing and focus more on yourself :) Just a thought.

That was me! But, I think your scenario is totally different and not at all annoying! When no one us around, who cares!! At my gym the locker room is always women in various stages if undress. I don't think I've ever seen it empty.
When I do get caught, I straight up tell them "I've recently lost a lot of weight…

Some of are new to the "chat" thing and haven't seen previous threads, so it's ok with me if there are duplicates :)
-
1. people who sit at a machine and chat to others and not actually work out when I am waiting for the machine. 2. people who don't wipe down the equipment after using it. 3. I'd like to say that girls who come to the gym wearing next to nothing with their done and make up done, looking absolutely fabulous bothers me, but…

I envy all of you who are brave enough to show your bellies. Mine is much worse than all I’ve seen here. And I go through great lengths to hide my stretch marks at all costs. I wish I was confident enough to let them show. Kudos to all you brave moms.

I was back to work within 2 months of mine...... ;)
I just started back to work this week full time. 2 and a half months for me. Do you know what the cause of our stroke was? How long did it take for you to get back to your normal routine at the gym?
-
This is true, people who did not know me before don't know that I didn't have a stutter and they think that's just "normal" me. This is what makes me self conscious. the fact that people will think my side effects are just me. They don't know that I didn't use to have these struggles. Does that sound petty?
-
I love that you have a great sense of humor about it. thats fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I feel less alone. And it's soooo true, my side effects from the stroke aren't something that people can "see" So people now just assume I'm fine, because I'm walking and talking, but there is still the…

I have no long term deficits. I did out-patient rehab (which I feel I didn't really need after 6 months) for a year; physically. Mentally was a whole other ball-game. I was a mess. Like a literal emotional mess. Every time I went to bed I thought I was going to die, every headache I got I ran to the ER (which is so not…

I recently started a "Biggest Loser" challenge in my office There are 6 of us doing it and it's been such a great motivator. I would definitely suggest it
-
And how are you doing now? Have you been able to fully recover?
-
I'm 44.. Single Mom of 5.. I need to lose about 20 more lbs I go to the gym regularly, but I just want to EAT!! I'm really trying though. Any of you ladies want to add me, please feel free to do. :)

I had some issues with my speech, but that has improved quite a bit. I still stutter now and then and get lost in my sentences often. Forget words, names etc But for the most part it's much better. As for the physical aspect.... as soon as I was able to walk again, I started going to the gym to do very light/short cardio…

But the difference between the two is so big. MFP says I earned 35 exercise calories and fitbit says I've earned almost 200.

cupcakes and cinnamon buns are my weakness. I can't have them in the house and not "just pick at them" UNTIL THEY ARE ALL GONE!! ugh!

Thank you!!
Most of the time in this situation, docs will place someone on anticoagulation/blood thinners to prevent another event.
I am on Aspirin as a blood thinner now
-
They have been unable to determine the cause. If I don't know what caused it, I have no way to know how to prevent it from happening again.
-
What are you scared of? Of having another stroke if you exercise too intensely?
Yes.. That is exactly what I am afraid of. But I also don't want to be too afraid and not maximize my potential.
-
I added you!
-
What is that specifically? And why not follow it?
All I've been told is there is "no real answer" just listen to my body. But what if my body feels like I can run a marathon one day, that doesn't mean I should do it.
-
Physical therapy is not something I can fit in to my budget unfortunately. I enjoy going to the gym and want to continue going, I'm just so nervous.
-
I am 147 lbs

44 years old.. Recovering from a stroke like a boss :) if anyone has any workout advice for me please add and share I am doing well, but don't want to overdo OR underdo
-

-
It said my water is at 45% I'm pretty new to all of this, so I only have the internet to go off of to find the "norms" and I don't even know what half of it means
-
I really want to make sure my body fat % is in a healthy range. And if not for the scale to tell me where I'm at, what can?
