Pan fried chicken breast with greens is my go-to low cal dinner. Sometimes I microwave a cup of frozen spinach with a bit of butter + salt & pepper then mix it with a half cup of low-fat cottage cheese. I've used it to make spinach lasagna before but I'm frequently too lazy to make the lasagna and just eat the stuffing…

No, if you eat in a caloric surplus (more calories in than calories out) you will definitely gain weight. But putting on muscle is a bit harder than putting on fat. Some people are recommending heavy lifting workout plans that will help you gain a lot of muscle which is great if you have access to a gym and weights. But…

If you are looking for strength based workouts that do not require a gym you can also try looking for 'body-weight' or 'calisthenic' exercises. These exercises certainly aren't going to get you the 'gains' that you would get from an actual lifting program but I am also a petite lady, and they have helped me build a lot of…

Consider a foam roller. I'm not a runner but they are great for getting out knots and stiffness that can develop when you are training.

I'm a big fan of those 'flipable' greek yogurts that have yogurt on one side and the topping on the other. 'Cinnamon Bun Fun' and 'Smore S'mores' are two of my favorites and come in a little under 200 cal.

Lobster, no competition Peas or Carrots?

Haha, I'm one of those hipster, black-lipstick-wearing, purple-pixie-cut women. And I've been told, multiple times, that this is a 'turn off'. I've also been told 'I hunt Tinder for a girl that looks like you', so I think it matters. But also doesn't really matter, I'm not going to change to make some dude like me.

In addition to adding a delicious spoonful of peanut butter to your evening, you don't have to eat back all your calories the same day. I'm one of those people where a hard workout completly destroys my appetite, I get home from the gym and can barely stomach a smoothie let alone a real meal. But that means I can bank the…

I'm 30, grew up with two parents working full time on an organic farm in a very small town. We always had something like a box of cookies/sugary cereal OR a container of ice cream in the house, but not a full pantry full. And I pretty much always had free reign of them. Sugary cereals were for SNACKS not breakfast, my…

I'm 5'1" about 120 now, was thinking of a goal of 116. But starting to wonder if I should be more focused on re-comping/BF% instead (mine is probably in the high 20's, would like it to be in the low 20's)

Yes, kind of, mostly, it usually takes a bit of planning. I had to get new tires today and there is a chicken restaurant nearby, I knew I really wanted some buffalo chicken wings for lunch. I really thought about what I was realistically prepared to do the rest of the evening (working late, then headed to yoga class, I…

I eat fruit and sugar out the wazoo and still loose weight. I don't think three pieces of fruit per day is outrageous. But I do some strength training and also struggle to get my daily protein, I'm just not a big meat eater. If you are looking for a higher protein alternative you might try Greek yogurt or string cheese?…

I've been weighing everyday for about a month and I enjoy seeing the overall trend. It tends to fluctuate a pound or two during the week. Also I'm only going for a small amount of weight loss, so I feel like if I only weighed once a week there's a good chance I would miss the downward trend just due to water…

I've also been trying to eat healthier and I also live with a boyfriend who has not. He tries to be supportive, but still 'kindly' brings home high calorie snacks that he knows I love . The easiest way I've found to avoid temptation and stay below my daily calories, is to be sure there is something lower cal in the house…

I live in Louisville, KY a quite a few really nice neighborhoods do not even have sidewalks here, they are also full of cul-de-sacs that can turn what should be a five block walk into a mile & a half trek (unless you cut through backyards). The suburb my aunt & uncle live in was built in the 70s, and even though they are…

Sugar, it's always refined sugar that takes me over my calorie limit. Gummy bears, chocolate, cookies, Nutella. I'm not terribly discerning when it comes to my sweet tooth.

If you don't like the 'fishy taste' of fish probably avoid bottom feeders because a fish's diet has a big impact on their flavor (ie. catfish, grouper, halibut). The species a little higher up the food chain tend to taste less 'fishy', not 100% foolproof but a decent guideline. My mom taught me to LOVE fish with salmon…

Awesome job! You are doing fantastic!

If you have a bit of wiggle room in the budget and just want some adult interaction have you thought about finding a weekly workout class or something instead?

Lights are out for the sleeping BF but a shot of my silly 'joker' outfit I wore out for St Patties day.

The tip I've been given that always helps me get the right posture is to try & pull my belly button into my spine. Which helps me engage my abs and straighten my back.

I've only got about 5lbs to lose, but they are the 'last' five pounds and therefore the hardest!! I believe in you all! Trying to avoid a midnight snack at the moment since I am already over my calories for the day!!

Mostly False. I am pretty solid at Karaoke but I'm a terrible 'singer' TNP is enjoying the TV Show 'Legion' as much as I am! (A lot)

Fantastic! You look amazing! If you really want to lose, MFP gives you back too many calories when you log exercise. You might try eating back half the calories instead of all of them. But the progress you are making looks phenom.

I've been using this app off & on for a couple years now, need some friends to keep me more accountable this time!
-
You can do it! My personal 'tip' is to find ways to make food that you love a little lower calorie. My lunch time sweet tea becomes a 'half sweet/half unsweet' tea. I'm in the market for some more friends as well I will add you!

In general I don't think you should take a photo of someone without asking, regardless of what kind of public place/situation they are in. I think it's kind of weird. I don't think my gym has any rules against it. But it's a very small gym so I think if it became an issue they would ask the person to leave.

This for me too. I feel like waiting a bit after a snack helps give the 'Im not hungry anymore' cues a chance to get to my brain.

Ian is not a puppy, he is about 9. But still probably the cutest.

Hey, I'm Loren. About 5'1" and have been floating around 125 for a while, trying get under 120lbs, then planning to use MFP to maintain and decrease my BF%. It'd be great to get a couple friends for support, loosing is hard when your you have less room for error in logging. I work a boring desk job but train aerial…
