  • I do have to track my sugar but as I don't eat any added sugar I know I should be ok. I do avoid fruit like mango and pineapple and ripe bananas. I've had to do this since I was 13 so years of reading labels etc and I've lost weight I think it's more to do with CI and CO
  • So net carbs - taking the fibre off?
  • It took me a long time to enjoy stretching. A couple of weeks ago I stayed on for a yoga class and I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it. I soon realised that the stretching at the end of a circuits class etc is no way enough. I can only attend yoga once a week but the instructor showed us a 10 minute routine to do…
  • When I've tried to drop weight before I really couldn't get to grips with the exercise part and my healthy eating although better wasn't had I'd hoped. This time around I checked out classes at the local gym and joined a really big one that's part of our leisure centre. I started going to a few classes and loved it. In…
  • I want to lose 25lbs and I really don't want to weigh in on Monday incase low carb hasn't worked. What sort of timeframe are you looking at. I was hoping for mid may. I'll add you both
  • [quote="nvmomketo; And don't forget to increase electrolytes. Low carbers need 3000 to 5000+ mg of sodium per day to replace the sodium we lose from lowered carb and insulin levels. If you start getting headaches, fatigue, nausea or BM issuess you probably need salt. One teaspoon of salt = 2300 mg sodium. [/quote] I got…
  • I love the elliptical over the treadmill. I just find I enjoy it more. My best friend would always use the treadmill until Tuesday when she kept me company. She now really likes it and I found her using one yesterday. I tend to think all the machines over estimate the calorie burn so as long as I know I pushed myself I'm…
  • Just added you
  • That sounds like a plan. I'll see how I get on then it's just you hear the low carb numbers and then 100g sounds a lot
  • G great - hopefully buddying up with people with the same goals will help all of us - fingers crossed

  • I know this thread is from last year but this was my first concern but so far this week, my first week and a bit of being GF and WF, I have still managed to hit the gym everyday without noticing any real problem other than I felt my recovery was slower. My brother is type 1 and he very very active and he makes sure he gets…
  • Hi there, sounds like me after having my last child 5 years ago I noticed increasing pain. I shrugged it off as just having a baby at 38 and then shrugged it off as an aging thing but then it got really bad. Endless doc visits where every doc decided to say something different to the last. I holiday in France every summer…
  • I buy pure mountain honey 25kg a time shipped in from Spain.
  • Fantastic - I hadn't thought about how I'd miz pizza. I love it but not obsessed with it but now I can't have it as i currently know it but you can bet I'll crave it From the reviews I reckon I could make all the pizza bases with this and hubby and the kids would enjoy
  • Again if it tastes good it will come in very handy and just thinking about my kids always demanding food because they are starving despite just emptying the fridge 10 minutes before, how pleased they'd be if amazing mum served up this a few minutes later
  • OMG just had a look - WOW 90 seconds if it tastes good that would be a great find
  • This is what I need to hear, started on Monday and today's been the hardest so far. I hope the last 10 days have also gone well
  • Thanks all really appreciate the suggestions. There's going to be a lot of experimenting baking going on in my kitchen this weekend.
  • Thanks It's just hard, this is my first proper week knowing I have to be gluten and wheat free and I was ok and positive about weight loss and new lifestyle but today been a bit of a struggle and bit depressing
  • I just so wanted bread today and wheat and gluten mean I can't so trying to get over it and alternatives in shop have sugar and I can't have that either.
  • Gosh that sounds nice I'll look it up
  • I'm new to low carbs and only just realised o need to up my salt. I love olives so will they defo be enough to give my salt intake a boost?
  • WOW your doing so well I've only just joined this group but I've slowly been reading through the different threads and it's really helping me
  • I could benifit from some support so add me - this is my first week of MFP
