Sorry could not do day 14 today. Feeling very poorly. :/

I tend to go by the teeth we have evolved over millions of years as my guide. Most of our teeth are for grinding and chewing plants...so yes majority of food should be plant based. But we also have incisors and canines for tearing into meat...so some food should be animal based. I do think consumption of meat in the First…

Interesting study. I noted they only looked at mums with gestational diabetes. I wonder if this holds true for normal pregnancies as well. It should be looked into further. I say this because a study came out saying kids exposed to pets and allergens as infants were less likely to develop asthma. So everyone touted that…

I really think you are. How else is someone supposed to express an opinion if not in general terms? And with statistics that are backed up by the CDC as applying to MOST people? Should he have said an opinion that applies to 1% of the population where gaining over 50lbs is ok? Or the 1% where losing 20lbs is ok? So what if…
-
Yes, your preference is your opinion.
-
Yep agreed.

My OB GYN was a quack. Just saying. They're not gods... Besides the guys opinion was general in nature so what is so god awful wrong about him simply repeating general CDC guidance as a general opinion? Over sensitive people on here I think.

Vote with my feet...which I've already done. Now I pay only 2% extra in taxes for all the healthcare I could possibly need and it's saved me a bundle of money because I was paying more than 2% of my income on health insurance and having to fight with said insurance company over which Dr is in network, not in network,…

Healthcare costs are outrageously high in the US because it's based on private insurance. I agree removing the entire insurance industry would make things much better for all concerned ( except the people who own and work for health insurance companies...they'd have to retrain and find new jobs). A single payer system is…

No, you don't directly pay for those services. You pay towards the cost of them via taxes. The pool of taxes paid by everyone then pays for these services. It's same concept as health insurance. You aren't charged more taxes if you've been mugged or otherwise a victim of a crime or if you've carelessly burnt your house…

Oh so calling 911 for fire, or police is actually calling up "slaves" is it? How so? Everyone pays taxes for these services no matter how much they need/use them.
-
But everyone who buys health insurance is forcing other people to pay for their healthcare....that's how it works. Whatever is billed to your insurance company by a Dr is paid from a pool of money that other people have paid into. The only way you can truly enact this belief is to not buy health insurance but self pay for…

You might be thirsty more than hungry. I know when I was pregnant, I drank a gallon a day of water. I'd add a bit of cranberry juice to the water as I hate the taste of plain water. It is good for the baby too as every few hrs your body has to replace the amniotic fluid around the baby.

Day 13 completed. Still not much good at grasshopper can hold for two breaths tops. But happy I worked on it and will keep doing so. Looks like another hot day today. Going to hide in the shade. B)

Finished day 12. Home stretch!

Soya Alpro is a brand of soy based yogurt which is really good. They have all sorts of flavours.

Go with them when shopping so you can pick what you want for lunch. My daughter loves fruit, veg and nuts for her lunch so I am always buying cucumbers, celery, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, bananas, pineapples, pistachios, walnuts, hazelnuts etc. She's not big on bready things either. I think once you show them…

I agree with others that cutting salt is a bad idea. If you don't like table salt you can always buy sea salt ( with iodine) which does have a different taste to it. One way I get enough salt is by snacking on seaweed.

I don't stretch before working out. I warm up instead. I save the stretching for afterwards. Too I use yoga on my recovery days to help as well.

I weigh myself every other day because I'm doing laundry and the scale is there in the utility room. I never avoid the scale. I figure if there's a creep of weight, best to know sooner rather than later. After all bad news is not like wine, it doesn't get better with age.

Day 11 done! Hope everyone is well today...happy Father's Day!

Day 10 completed. So hot today.

Nope, fast food is the worst( and we've already established we have different definitions of fast food). Sugar is not a problem so long as you don't get addicted to it.

Breastfeeding was number one reason I lost the extra baby weight. I exclusively breastfed until six months and then breastfed until they self weaned. It's a myth that losing weight while breastfeeding is bad.

Day 9 done. Hooray! @daneejela for tree pose I am barefoot and will put heel just above where my thigh muscle comes out. If it's really slippy, I've also done a variation where you place the foot on top of your upper thigh instead of against the inside. You can up that one too by doing twisted tree which is where you wrap…

Here in the EU gender equality for car insurance was made a law in 2012. It's no longer legal to charge someone more because they are male.
