I'm eating veggies and turkey sausage for lunch. Caprese for snack (tomato, cheese, cucumber, dressing). Eating pretzels, chocolate, apples for snacks. Bananas and grapes as snacks. Avocado with salt and pepper for breakfast. Revive smoothie with almond milk for dessert. All meal prepped and seperated so it's easy to grab…

So the past couple days have been great. -- Eating under 2000 calories (more like 1700 naturally) -- Prepped a few meals for lunches. Bought tons of fruit, veggies, and healthy snacks. -- Yesterday I went for two walks and got in 5000 steps. -- Today I played three different disc golf courses and got in 7500 steps. --…

Okay so full fat / full calorie stuff is better. Perfect.

tgillies003 -- I think it's a good starting point. Right now I do ZERO minutes of exercise. I also do ZERO minutes of movement. I wake up - go to work and sit for 8 hours. Then I go home and sit in front of a tv for 7 hours. Then sleep and go back to work then next day. Not sure on the carbs - maybe help jump start weight…

There has to be some science to when and how fat stores burn fastest. I doubt the science behind Intermittent Fasting and why you fast is total BS right? I've read it helps you burn fat instead of the food your eating. And I don't really know which works for me - both of them I guess.

Thanks for all the feedback. We started doing a meal delivery service called EveryPlate for dinners - we get five meals a week for 2. No leftovers or extra which is perfect portion control. Love cooking those - delicious, healthy, focused on meat + veggies. I need to figure out if I need to eat breakfast or not - I am…

Cycling sounds interesting - maybe start with my current beach cruiser around town? Going right to a mountain bike and trails sounds intimidating. But maybe with time. I would need to buy something besides a beach cruiser I suppose. Disc golf is great - I used to play - might be time to pick that up - lots of walking with…

I am an awesome cook. Make amazing dinners every night for my wife and I. But I am not going to meal prep and eat homeade lunches and breakfast at work - sorry - if I have to do that then I won't succeed right now. It's an easy excuse -- i don't feel like cooking so I will just eat out.

Thanks.

It's not only about money. It helps me hit my calorie goal which is the most important reason I like the idea of intermittent fasting. Yesterday went good. Pretty easy. Day #2. Coming up.

Okay so perfect - I can have flavored water, diet soda, etc as long as it's zero calorie. I didn't know if the artificial flavoring and sweetener was an issue. I already eat for eight hours a day (noon to 8pm) so not sure how switching to 16:8 would help me. I eat my first meal at noon (fast food or delivery every single…

I just done like to eat breakfast (slows me down - more focused without). At lunch im not hungry but I eat because it's lunch time. I don't get hungry till about 4pm. We eat dinner at 7. Plus I have better luck trying not to eat for 20 hours than eating three meals and trying to eat healthy. If I don't eat at work I don't…

I have mine set to 10% carbs. We are eating a low carb / keto meal plan from EMeals which I absolutely love so far.

What about some sort of walk -- jog -- walk -- spring -- walk type thing. So we get our heart rates up and build our cardio a little.

Interesting - I used to love SWORKIT but not it's a paid service - boo.

Thanks for all the feedback - your right I didn't give enough info. - We can't spend any money on it (classes, boxing, martial arts, etc) - We can do things outside (Colorado so cold in winter but most of year it's awesome outside) - The working out is for health (heart, cardiovascular, blood pressure, etc) - The better…

Mr Knight - 2000 calories per day. What MFP recommends for 2lbs a week weight loss. Lost 18lbs so far. But losing weight is not the number one goal - I don't want to lose weight but die of a heart attack from only eating cheese, fats, and meat! And these meals appeal to me like crazy - love love love them and they are…

I am obviously not eating the whole 3lbs of ground beef - it's a caserole so you eat a service and save the rest. But it's just cheese, cheese, cheese, meat, meat, meat, oils, dressings, fats, fats, fats.....my wife doesn't believe there is any way this could be healthy. It's not just about weight loss - it's about…

Saw a documentary lately that was pushing turning to a vegan diet. Have a friend that the pounds are falling off of eating that way. Plus he feels better about himself which is a plus. He mentioned the crazy new energy he has. Not sure I could go to all plant based diet though - would be a BIG step for my wife and I. We…

Uggg - kinda have fallen off my plans. Got down to 297 which was exciting. But have gone out for excessive lunches three days in a row now. Didn't watch anything I ate this past weekend camping. Trying to get back on point with a healthy keto shopping trip tonight.
-
Yeah - walking a few times a week right now! P.S. Got under 300lbs for the first time since 2012. I am 299 today and not slowing down - 250 here I come!

I love it. I am never hungry in AM anyway and i don't want food till about 2pm. I drink some water and I am full. I eat once I get home - usually low carb (meat and veggies) and am good for the night.

I saw some awesome transformations from DDP YOGA - ever heard of that? Diamond Dallas Page Yoga! Eating a DIABETIC / LOW CARD plan has been going great. It's so easy to just grab a meat from the list and two veggies from the list and go to town. Always feel full too.

Maybe one day I will get rid of that fear. This weekend was rough (they always are). We went to a beer festival we help organize - only had two beers but fell victim to the slice of pizza and french fries covered in cheese and cheesesteak. Dang it. Then Sunday helped my folks move some furniture and watched a movie with…

Thanks..... Hoping to one day be able to post a really dramatic before and after photo. Maybe some muscles in there. Flat stomach, not pear shaped. I look forward to the day when I walk in front of a mirror or see myself in a picture and don't think - yuck!

I thought strong lifts required equipment?!?! I have done it before but I needed weights, barbell, rack, etc.

I do have a TRX system but can't find a place to hang it inside that is sturdy. We can not afforda a gym. Even the city one that is only $25 breaks our budget. Plus I have a fear of working out in front of people. I have joined every gym in town over past 5 years. I never go because I hate people seeing me. HERE IS MY…
