You guys are wonderful. I needed the silly pep talk, thank you so much.

So I guess you all have a valid point. I was losing two pounds a week and that's great. I got very caught up in comparing myself to my husband. Thank you all.
-
Thank you very much.

Ah yes, we did cook the meat in Grape Seed or Coconut Oil.

I guess you're not supposed to count calories while doing it, but I did the first few days. A couple chicken breasts, a steak for dinner sometimes, a baked potato, salad/carrots/sugar snap peas, and if we were feeling extra crazy maybe a banana. These are generally low-calorie foods I though :-/

They offer a two-pound a week option...

When I say eating like my husband, it was pretty much like this: 1-2 Steamed Chicken Breasts, a steak for dinner (sometimes), a salad with more veggies, and maybe a banana (or two, if we were feeling like fatties). So, if anything, we were under-eating. There's only so many chicken breasts and salads you can eat in a day…

When you're 245 pounds I guess I did have "unrealistic" expectations.
-
You had the kindest answer. Thank you.

I appreciate all of your feedback! I won't be going back to fast food and junk food every day, for sure, but I'll be adding dairy and cheat meals back into my diet. The Whole30 is not sustainable and the creamer in my coffee this morning was so fabulous I think I'll let myself relax. Haha thank you all. I read about many…

Apparently it's kind of supposed to be a detox blah blah blah but I'm not sure why it's 30 days. That seems like a long detox.
-
What does your diet look like? This is a complete 180 for us as we were crazy junk food and sugar addicts. I worry with calorie counting it will encourage me to slip back into unhealthy habits. When I was doing it before, I didn't have the willpower to eat less than like 2,000 a day.

I don't think so. I just got over a cold last week. Aside from the one week on this I felt okay, the rest of the time has been ridiculous. I want to finish it out and at the same time I'm wondering why.
-
Okay seriously I just posted an amazing page long personal experience for the OP and it didn't even POST. Message me if you want to talk, I'm in your place.

I had to make sure I didn't know you, because this friend could be me

Studies have been shown with high interval training like CrossFit, that after 3 days of training your body is physically unable to give it your all. Serious fatigue. Many Hardcore CrossFitters go three days on, one off. It will wear you out if you're not careful. You want it to be fun :)

I wouldn't suggest five days a week right now or it's going to burn you out. When my husband and I started we did 5 lunges and could barely walk for days. It gets better, but it took us over a month to stop feeling as sore after the WODs.

After four months of Crossfit I FINALLY got my front squat hella low today. I'm feeling it in my *kitten* right now.

Yes, but not early, we hit up our box at 9. Our baby wakes about 7:30 so 9 is great. You couldn't pay me to go to a 5:30 AM class.
-
Is it weird that that box seems too glitzy for me? It kind of makes me love our little dungeon even more

I absolutely adore good doctors. Same with cops, if they do their job right they should be making your life better and not worse. Every doctor will have their good and bad qualities but I haven't met one yet that didn't have my best interest in mind. I'm also a Healthcare worker, however, so I may be biased.

Loud noises, like the Rev of an engine or slamming dishes. No, for real, my therapist says it's childhood induced PTSD but we won't go there because I'm an adult now. Also, kids are pretty annoying and I even have one. But he's cool right now so it's whatever.

I was legitimately about to get all deep here with my alcoholic father and all the issues I have now because of it but pea soup wins and now I can't even.

Laying in bed reading some of these ridiculous threads that I've come to love.

I drink. Nobody should probably take that advice.

CrossFit is the best thing I ever did for myself. If you find a good box and good coaches, it will become a second family community.
-
CrossFit. I don't even bother with gyms anymore.
