Hi!! I'm also TTC and facing PCOS challenges so on a very low caloroe, low sugar diet. Need to lower BF% and get back on the fitness bus to increase my muscle %. The year before I turned 30 I did 12 months of F45. Starting weight 53kg (skinny fat/skinny PCOS), finishing weight 62kg (Gained 5kg of muscle.) After a 12 month…

Sorry, to clarify. My mother in law made it. I just guessed the amount of each ingredient and added it to MFP and probably over estimated the oil but she does use a lot in curries.
-
Do you really think? For some reason my text didn't appear. It said it included: small serving of basmati rice, piece of turkish bread, salad, bean curry & zucchini curry (both vegan).

Hey, I'm Amanda - similar goals and only 25 days in to MFP :D Request sent.
-
@shegotshapely I'm in!? *Add* Sounds like we're pretty similar, though my biggest concern is my complete lack of strength and energy  I'm 25 days using MFP and it's great! -Amanda

@laurakay8052 If the pics load I added them after @laurakay8052 as above. If the pics load I added them after, because who wants a recipe without seeing what it looks like

@laurakay8052 I'll tag you in a post I just responded to with ideas :)

Haha all good. I understand, I've had it / known about it for 13 years so I know my limits but every gym or exercise class I've ever joined has asked me to sign a waiver. I played competitive tennis for many years and if anything gets your heart racing it's tennis. Also played Aus Tag (touch football) and got into Zumba so…

I'm glad you've said that too because I asked the Dietician and she said 50g was good for my size and I didn't want to increase it unnecessarily but I definitely will now @jenilla

@canadianlbs I guess I need to do more lifting! I need to keep a bit of cardio for my heart but I'll try lifting heavier weights. I keep going and hopefully start to see results.
-
Thanks @MeganAM89 I'll increase my protein. I have been trying to and now you've mentioned it, it makes sense, I had hardly any fat back then but I also never went long without exercising. Desk jobs = Killer! I'll keep at it!

Bunch of photos of my fav food to cook. @shnookster23 if you would like the recipe or ratio of any of the above, please let me know. It might be food I love to eat but not your cup of tea.

I eat a low calorie Vegan diet. As much as i LOVE the meat substitutes on the market, they are processed (including TVP mince) and not often low calorie. Good thing is that they are often protein rich. I'll have one meal with processed/packaged food a fortnight as a treat. I try to only eat higher calorie foods that are…

@KnitOrMiss wow you've been through a lot! re Testosterone; yes you could have very well got away with not have higher testosterone levels (though it's uncommon in PCOS) hormone imbalance is a fundamental part of the condition not a symptom and the rise in testosterone is the cause of a number of the symptoms. Although…

@JaneAero Try going Vegan for half the week!

@meli_818 I have lean PCOS w Prediabetes and I'm very careful with what I eat, I don't eat pre prepared or packaged food and my diet is high fiber & low GI, I'm also vegan for ethical & environmental reasons but it helps. I keep my calories around 1000 and exercise daily for at least 30 min, mix of cardio & weight bearing.…

Hey again @indianbeauty24 I just responded to your other thread but if you do get the confirmation is PCOS you should see a dietician & diabetes educator, diabetic friendly diet is best for PCOS, frequent meals and regular cardio!
-
@indianbeauty24 Wow your story is amazing. I'm so sorry for your huge loss. I was drawn to your post as someone with PCOS and other than being saddened by your story I was shocked with your Dr's diagnosis. What you've described is not really in line with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. The fact you were able to conceive two…

Hey @hencethemagic - I'm sorry you feel that way, be nice to yourself! You're in a healthy weight range. I relate to you feeling like you should be leaner or thinner but please try love yourself no matter what your size. I feel hypocritical as I'm very insecure and set high standards for myself but if I was to give myself…

Breakfast is the best! I have my go to breakfasts for weekdays: - Variety of Smoothies w the lot (like the above) - PB & Banana on Wholemeal English Muffin (or Vegemite!) - Overnight Oats w Berries Or for a treat on weekends: - Big Breakfast w Tofu Scramble (go to my fav V cafe for this) - Granola w fruit & V milk or Coyo…

You look amazing Sue and you've come so far. Congratulations! And thank you, you're definitively not the only person struggling with it. I've come to realise that my body image issues have little to do with the way I look. All the best to you too ♡

@DrKBR *cringe* I hope he's no longer doing that or no longer a friend. Coming from a family of divorce due to adultery, it ruins lives.
