Since 2015, I've lost 100 lbs., but the next 50 or so are being a real b*tch! I've also gained about 15 back from my lowest. I go to Europe for my 26th birthday in May and I will start 26 feeling fantastic and fit! STARTING WEIGHT AND DATE WITH MFP (MY FITNESS PAL): 292 lbs. as of February 8, 2016 CHALLENGE STARTING…

Hey! I'm with you on weekends - that's generally when my family gets together for dinner at a local restaurant, and being 'good' all week makes it that much harder to abstain on weekends. For drinks, one of my favourite things to do is: 1) Use the 10 calorie cranberry juice to make mixed drinks 2) Make 'Green Caesars',…

@dlhollin1 Hey, you and I started MFP basically at the same time & the same weight!

Crap. I just had brain surgery a little less than 3 weeks ago & have still been eating at 1200-1300 calories. My hormones and metabolism are affected by the medications I'm on & I'm scared of gaining (lost 108 so far). Am I hurting my recovery by doing this? I'm also getting 10k steps in a day as drs said to be up and…

Thanks everyone - some very good points raised and they are noted! But now I don't feel so bad about my 'breakfast cake'...

Height: 5'6 (ok I'm one inch off but I swear my height fluctuates) SW: 292 lbs. - Size 22/24 CW: 193 lbs. - Size 16 for most brands most of the time

Krisda sugar-free chocolate chips. 1 tbsp = 50 cal. Also I've tried a lot of Carb-Rite products and most have been successful. Think muffins with less than 60 calories & maple sugar oatmeal with 90 cal. and no sugar, 12 grams of protein.

Excited for this thread! Looked SO hard for Halo Top in Canada - its just not a thing...My faves are SmartCakes (38 cal.) & Del Monte No Sugar Added popsicles (45 cal.). Samaseal Teriyaki sauce is also 10 cal., no sugar and DELICIOUS.

This ^ and it's ironic with this post that today I've slotted in a blizzard to my daily calorie goal. WIN!

First time on this thread. Started at 292 lbs in February 2016. Currently only THREE lbs away from the 100 mark. Waiting for surgery for Cushing's Disease so very hard to lose weight due to cortisol levels & symptoms - but let's give this a go! Name: Holly Age: 23 Height: 5' 6 Start Weight (week of April 19): 193.8 Goal…

Many thanks to everyone who responded & continue to do so. Cautiously attempting to undo mental barriers & telling myself its okay to approach daily goal without the world spontaneously combusting...will be interesting to see if/how it impacts my next weigh-in.

For reference, I'll also add that I have Cushing's Disease which is characterized by high levels of cortisol & affects hormones/metabolic process as well as causing muscle weakness/osteoporosis so I can't really be sure if the same rules that affect everybody else apply to me.

So if I know I'm going to go over my calories on the weekend, and create deficits throughout the week to 'hoard' calories, am I doing myself more harm than good? I've lost 100 lbs. over the last year through an aggressively restrictive diet that I now realize probably wasn't healthy and am trying to learn 'how' to eat…

I JUST ordered that from Coles last night! So glad to hear a positive review!

Lots of good advice here. I'm now aggressively pre-planning my meals with the MFP diary & creating 'menus' for the week. I even managed to fit in a frozen yogurt for today at the movies with some creativity :) My food diary is open if anyone wants to critique. Thanks all!

Recently diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome & waiting for a surgery date to remove the pituitary tumor. Been quoted a wait time of about 3 months, but the symptoms are driving me absolutely insane because the levels of cortisol in my blood mean I'm on a constant adrenaline rush and/or in a constant panic attack state that I…

Gym workouts are about an hour per day & I'm there 7 days a week so it's looking good even if I miss one or two here or there! March 9 = 9/24

Never heard of intermittent fasting before now. Definitely something I'll look into to see if I can 'slide' into that as a way to regulate my habits into something productive & get away from bad behaviours. Also, agree I'm very 'emotional' about food - trying to fix that too...
-
TOTALLY not alone. I will literally starve myself all day & then BLOW IT at night because I attach emotional significance to curling up & watching Netflix while eating. It's not even unhealthy food sometimes, it's just quantity. And weekends, which are 'freer' days, I'll feel like I need to eat everything while I have the…

Totally a newbie. Have lost 90 lbs. so far with another 50 or so to go. Would love some friends & support!

I'm new too. Doing HPLC. Lost 80 so far, have another 40 to go at least.
