janejellyroll - that makes a lot of sense. Damage is already done for things I've already purchased I guess. I will try my best to purchase vegan products going forward. I'm going to my dr this week to get blood work and everything done as I'm just starting out and then will go again in a couple months or something to see…

I'm on day 3 of...well I don't know what to call it actually lol. I am not about to throw out my expensive leather jacket so I guess I can't call myself vegan. However I am not eating meat, dairy or eggs. This week's meal prep for example.... Breakfast - smashed avocado toast and smoothie with frozen berries, banana, kale,…

I am one of those people who gets full very fast. I get really uncomfortable bloating if I eat too much. My body prefers to eat much smaller portions several times throughout the day. I find it interesting that people make the assumption that in that situation I'm trying to be "dainty" lol. That's just absurd to me. Maybe…

I think it's perfectly acceptable to compliment someone. I wouldn't comment on something specific however I agree that "you look great" is a wonderful thing to say and hear. I can't imagine getting offended by someone telling me that. However to say something negative...that's 100% completely unacceptable in my opinion. I…

There's a meal plan I quite enjoy for weight loss for 7 days that came with the bodylogix cleanse I did. You can find it online on their website. Otherwise I just make my own meal plan based on recipes I find on YouTube and meal prep once or twice a week. Simplifies life for me. Go on YouTube and search meal prep for…

Love them! I have used them in 3 different meal preps now and find them to be a great alternative when I have a pasta craving. The key is to find ways to season and prep them. YouTube is a great resource. If you just rinse them and eat them as is they won't be any more exciting than regular plain pasta with nothing in it.

I have not given up on my wine. Probably makes my weight loss journey slower than it could be but I'm ok with that because I don't feel like I'm going without anything and could continue this for life. It's not a diet for me. I feel like if I cut out wine and then start up again later I'll just gain it back. I'm better off…

Meal prep has been a game changer for me. It doesn't have to be hard or time consuming. I did all mine yesterday and made: Breakfast - protein pancakes. I just add one tbsp of syrup and raspberries Lunch - turkey meatballs and Basil pesto shirataki noodles Dinner - spice crusted chicken thighs with zoodles Doing this is…

Try cutting out all or most liquid calories. I have noticed people forget to track those and they can sure add up. Also my success has largely come from meal prepping. Once or twice a week I make all my meals for the week and use the recipe builder on mfp to track it all. The result is I am never standing there hungry…

I'd rather eat 5 of my homemade turkey meatballs that equals 168 calories.

Check out flavcity on YouTube. A lot of my meal prep are his recipes and I am managing to get a ton of protein in with low calories and they are very satisfying.

Shirataki noodles. I used them with snap peas and Basil pesto in my meal prep this week. A great alternative to pasta or zoodles. Be sure to rinse them first!

Not for me. In fact it has enhanced my enjoyment of food (if that was possible lol) because I'm trying all kinds of new recipes that i never even thought of before.

I value my real life experience and what my body is telling me 1000% more than I value anybody else's opinion with regards to eating habits/food.

For me raising my children is the biggest reward and pay off I've experienced! It's not solely out of responsibility for me...i truly enjoy and love every part of it and find it extremely rewarding. That's not being selfish...but it's still a pay off. Not sure why people think the pay off is a bad thing. It's not. It's…

Contrary to popular belief, true narcissists have a lack of self love. Which is why they need the attention from others so much. It's the opposite of codependent, which interestingly enough is also someone with a lack of self love...just a different coping mechanism. I'm definitely more on the codepdent side of the bar.…

Yes I weigh/measure absolutely everything and do meal prep meals for the week. That way I only have to weigh/measure that one day I make everything and then save it as my recipe in mfp so the whole rest of the week it's already predone and I don't have weigh or measure a thing. I just make sure I make super declicious but…

I've been using Whitney Simmons workouts on YouTube. She's been great for me as a beginner as well.

In Canada restaurants have to provide the calories right on the menu. If they don't have that it's usually on their website. If not, I ask how I can track it down and they are usually very helpful.
