Mine was just realizing how bad I was eating. Sugary cereals, pop, barely any water, pizza, McDonald's, desserts, etc... Now after joining here and talking to a buddy of mine who is a personal trainer (calisthenics) I've been eating amazing for two weeks

Thanks bro! Yeah my calorie intake according to trainer and MFP is 3100, I am at 2,200 right now. So I should hit that easy today. I didn't realize if you drank a couple protein shakes how they can help your calorie goal. For the bodyweight - I love it! I sometimes still hit the gym just for something different and it's…

That's all you can do. Who knows? You may end up being one of the ones with excellent genetic potential who can synthesize muscle tissue at a higher rate. If so, pleasant surprise. However, planning for it can just lead to a bunch of disappointment if/when it doesn't happen that way.[/quote] Thanks also!! Yeah, I am happy…

I gotta say, your post was one of if not the most informational so far!!! I'll aim for 8-10 pounds. As long as I see progress, I'm happy. You know? I don't want to be that skinny kid I used to be. I'll add you as a friend if that's cool

Yeah so I'm going to aim for 10-15 pounds of muscle then. And work from there. I've been logging everything I eat (today had 3 small slices of pizza, at my uncles so had to be polite) and ate all healthy yesterday. Breakfast and lunch today were healthy

Wow everybody! This is awesome. I will deeply read this later on when I get home and apply all of these tips. I was barely able to hit 3,000 calories yesterday just because I'm not used to eating that much yet.

I am 6'1". I just got a program from a personal trainer of mine. But in the past year, of on and off working out (just started seriously the past two months, no program) probably 10 pounds or so. And I now have a program that I am going to follow but still looking for some nice tips. Like I work at 10 am tomorrow. And then…

I ate about 3,000 calories and lifted heavier sets and did harder push up variations for 45 minutes or so today. I'm at home all week cause school gym is closed for spring break. So doing the best I can until regular gym visits resume. I will post pictures every week of my progress

Yeah I can with time. I'm 18, I take 2-3 classes a semester (first year, 2nd semester), work 25 hours a week, and care for my pets, homework, family time. So I just set a goal each day - like okay, I work today at 4. Get up early, eat big breakfast, do chores, study for exam, work out, eat a decent sized lunch, pack dinner…
