  • Hi, I'm in again this month and hope that I will be a little more active. Right now I am supposed to be working on something for my sister to give to new parents in her day care. So, I don't have a lot of time for much other than my walking. My walking goal is going to be 150 miles in the month. I need to up my steps, and…

  • Hi! I’m in again and am aiming for 310,000 or more in October. I have a retreat for a Friday through Sunday one weekend; so may need to do extra before or after if there isn’t a way to do a lot of walking that weekend, but . . .

  • Am too lazy to go get my cell to check my walking and update my last distance post, but am delighted to report that I finally made it to the gym and used the stationary bike. Counting the 4-minute cool-down, I did 10 miles!!! YEAH!! The way I look at it is progress. Now to just get there again and do the other 80. I feel…
  • Hey, you are here and you are doing what you can. That is what is important. When I started, my goal was just to use my walker and make it to the front door. You just will never know where this takes you!
  • Sorry I have been MIA! Have been busy part of the time and then over the weekend was dealing with a really bad asthma flare up. But thank the Lord I was able to avoid the Prednisone bullet and only needed to use the nebulizer a lot. From my point of view that was a major win. Distance September 1-9: 34.2 miles Sept 8: 4.1…
  • Hi Everyone, I couldn't find my first post where I set my goal as 10,000 steps per day. But my first week report was there. Maybe the first one was goofed up and got lost. But I have hit my goal every day so far except for today. Today was the day I got my monthly infusion which protects me from infection. They do it at…
  • Jeannie, well, have you beat. I'm 67 so I am probably oldest, but I agree with you 100%. I got into walking because I couldn't even get to the front door without a walker and it seemed like I would just get sicker and weaker if I didn't do something. So I went to pulmonary rehabilitation to deal with lung issues and…

  • Hi Everyone! I think tomorrow is gonna be the last day of the Hogwarts Challenge. As far as I know I've completed ✅ all the tasks! Whew!! Have learned a lot from participating. It's been great for me! But hard. Today is a milestone for me!! For the first time since 2015 I am below 200 pounds! It is so exciting! I want to…
  • Hi gang, I'm back. Trying to keep track of everything on MFP. We are winding up the Hogwarts Challenge Term 14 and it is getting crazy with the tasks, but tons of fun. If I'm not on here a lot in the next couple of days, please forgive me. We are having a sort of relay task thing, two teams competing. Also, there are…
  • Hey K, you just take care of yourself, OK? It isn't worth anything if you make yourself sick to be careful and just know we care about you!
  • Wow Rachel! I have hardly ever worn a 6. WTG!! Thanks for all the vibes and hope your work day was good.
  • Hi again, Everyone! I'm so sorry that I keep flaking out. Last week was Quidditch Match week and I was exercising like a lunatic! Oh my goodness! But I got more than the maximum points allowed! I've never done that before. Weighed on Saturday for the Hogwarts Challenge and was 205.4. Then weighed on Sunday (because that is…
  • OK guys, so very so to have been Missing in Action!! Weighed yesterday. 208 -- down 1.2 pounds. I'm just slow but sure. Never have a huge change, but since starting at MFP have lost 22 pounds, I think. Did OK over the weekend, but wasn't very active on the computer. My bad. Was just physically exhausted, and my experience…
  • You bet @happyfamily51million and @Vinycha We are happy to welcome everyone!! Thank you for joining us!! Yesterday was a successful day for me, although very tired. This morning was doing errands and running around, also grocery shopping so I have the healthy foods to eat. Am still really tired, so may take a nap and see…
  • Hi everyone, sorry it took so long to get back on here today. Yesterday was a very high pain day. I was fine until about 6:30 last evening and then . . . . OUCH!! I was, literally, sitting in the chair crying at 9:30 even after I took the pain medicine from my doctor. Oh well, much better today. And I did stick with my…
  • Hi Chica and everyone! Day 2 was good for me as well. Walked more than 13,000 steps. YEAH!! Not bad for an old lady. Food was good and healthy. Today so far has been really good. My other challenge asks me to go 2 days with water only -- no coffee, tea, soft drinks, etc. I can do it. I can do it!! Maybe. Workout with…
  • Finished the challenge in my other group and think I will break and have some lunch and rest! Whew -- we worked like demons, and did come in second. Those slippery Slytherins came first. But you gotta love Harry Potter and Hogwarts.
