I don't but I have to say I'm envious of your hike location!!

Not necessarily, it could also be Pirifomis Syndrome where the muscle inflames and grabs onto the underlying sciatic nerve. Look into self administered trigger point therapy for the Pirifomis and glute minimus/medius. I have treated clients who were told there was nothing to help them as it was from L4/L5 sciatic…

You might want to see what your iron & ferritin levels are doing as hard exercise can deplete these. Low stores can result in fatigue as blood oxygen is reduced.

You're welcome, I forgot to add that B12 and Vitamin D are essential too.

I have hypothyroidism with years of 'IBS' and have certain inability to absorb nutrients with bouts of gastritis and inability to feel hungry. I take HCL with pepsin with high protein meals, before eating, to help increase hydrochloric acid which seems to decrease with thyroid problems. Once a week I eat steak and drink…

Look into trigger point therapy (self administered) of the medial and lateral head of the gastrocnemius, adductor brevis and longus, sartorius and rectus femoris and vastus medialis. I recommend 'The Concise Book of Trigger Points' by Simeon Niel-Asher.

Look at hip flexor muscles, glute minimum/medius and biceps femoris with foam rolling and trigger point therapy.

Thank you, I do have some neutrals as I was measured up for some ages ago but they were replaced recently. I live in a town and not a city so there aren't too many around outside right now.

Ok...121lbs now, 160cms tall with arms look 15% whilst stomach looks 25+...cutting on 1650 cals. I'm going with how the bottom end of me looks to determine when to stop....it's hard being an older woman who has had children. It's a hypothyroid roll of belly fat, probably a bit insulin resistant too. I don't want scare…

I reduced fibre and water intake, increased stomach acid with digestive enzymes/betaine HCL, apple cider vinegar with water in between meals. Increased number of meals, smaller portions. Chewed food properly, no liquid with meals but before or after by half hour. My issues were connected to underlying hypothyroidism, once…

Trigger point therapy into glute min/med & quadratus lumborum

Woop! Awesome work lady, if only I could have a stomach like that at my age 😤
-
Thank you! I read that some hit PR's in a cut, not me I'm losing it and it's hard to watch.

I'm mithering about body fat percentage, I'm now around 22% as a female, 123lbs and 160cms. I've now been cutting for nearly 16 weeks, 0.5lb loss per week. I stalled for 1 month recently, that didn't sit well with me, especially at 1500 calories a day more on lifting days. I was told recently to forget scales, rely on the…

4lbs to go...then I eat all the food to rebulk 😏

'Normal' for GP's, get yourself a fingerprick test from Blue Horizon. I've just found out that I'm hypothyroid with low ferritin.
-
Get your thyroid levels checked 😉

Don't worry about what she thinks, let her do it her own way. Some people will never see reason and you'll be driving yourselves apart if you both carry on. As Tavistock said above, refrain from diet discussion and you'll have a happier relationship.

Legs and abs

Is that a good thing?

'But because I’m so obsessed with losing weight and have symptoms of an eating disorder everyone seems to think it’s a problem' Then what you have is anorexia, keep seeing the specialists and good luck to you.
-
The entire endocrine system is dependent on the thyroid working efficiently so I would imagine menopause being a disrupter via reduces estrogen levels.
-
Hmmm, yes but if you get down to your goal weight after bulking and you didn't target your abs the whole time there'll be nothing to see. OP, abs everyday son plus genetics are at play...not everyone will have a visible definition.

That's a long time dealing with such a tricky disease but what a difference with the meds! I'm wondering how much more I could lift when I actually get to feel better...I could be a powerlifting goddess underneath it all 😂 In the meantime I'm having those flavoured sports dextrose gels to keep me from keeling over in the…

Gosh, 20 years of coping with all of that, hats off to you. You're quite right about the accomplished feeling that exercise gives, that sitting on the sofa with coffee afterwards is something else!

Maybe she has an eating disorder that she keeps from you? Excessive exercise can be a cover up for many people. My daughter is now 18 years old and we have only realised in the past year that she has been having problems. I urge you to talk openly and honestly, get a full health check and talking therapies underway if this…

Body dysmorphia is a distorted view of oneself where only you can see your 'flaws'. When an obsession with body image takes over everyday life then it needs to be addressed and feelings explored as to the root cause. This could be in the form of counseling with a professional and can be sought through a doctor. Cognitive…

Sorry that you've been unwell, I thought at first it was Hashimoto's but the antibodies were fine. My symptoms are sweating without temperature day and night, shakes, blurred vision, fog....oh the fog 😫 And many others. I think mine stems back 13 years. I've gone with Metavive IV natural hormone after being told that my GP…
