60 minute Krav Maga conditioning class. Non stop work but SO much fun!

1.5 mile walk. I would have liked to go much further, but it’s hot and humid here and the dogs rebelled.

Had my first try in many years with hill sprints today. It was much too hot to do outside, so the treadmill it was. I took it very easy, as I’m quite concerned about injury. Lengthy warmup all for 4 30 second sprints at a 5% incline, followed by a long cool down and stretching. It felt good, and I’ll continue to increase…

No workout the past two days. I pulled a glute muscle on Sunday:( So frustrating. I’m taking Advil and icing it, and will try a light walk today. I hate missing my workouts:(

Last week was vacation. Some pretty active days, and a good deal of laying around. It was fabulous. This week- as of this morning I had gotten in 3 Krav Maga classes and 2 full body lifting sessions. Feels good to be back!

Yesterday- 60 minute Krav Maga striking class Today- travel day so lots and lots of sitting. But worth it for vacation!

I prefer cardio, too, so that’s what I spend most of my activity time doing. I still do 2 full body lifting sessions a week, even though that’s more like a chore. It only takes a half hour or so, and the benefits are significant, so it’s worth it to me.

Trying to recover from my Krav Maga belt test last night. Brutal. I did a 2 mile walk this morning to loosen up my muscles. Didn’t work, everything hurts!

OP, since you’re already at a healthy weight, expect the loss to be slow. I’m 41F, starting weight 145. Since February I’ve lost only 12 pounds, for an overall rate of loss of 0.6 pounds per week. It has definitely felt slow! But maintaining as much muscle mass as possible is important, and losing slowly helps with that…

Great job on your weight loss! You look great (and not remotely fat). If you’d like a more muscular look, certainly follow the above advice. But I hope you’re proud of what you’ve already accomplished and feeling good about yourself:)
