Just a thought but Studies have also shown that using artificial sweeteners still raises your insulin levels. The point being that trying to trick your body may not always work the way you think. I'd also be watching your macros, that's probably part of the reason why you see such a spread of numbers in caloric intake between different people (among other things). Relying solely on calorie count may be to simple of an approach for what you are trying to accomplish.
