I was so hoping that it was sarcasm/irony because it's darn funny, but clearly it hits close to home huh? LOL ;) Never know these days!

I get the weird comment "you look beautiful the way you are!" when I say I'm eating better and trying to be more active. It's like, hey, thanks, that's kind of you and all but I'm about 100 pounds heavier than I ought to be and definitely not as healthy as I would like to be. Aesthetics isn't necessarily my main motivator…

Great job!!!

This is all fairly similar to my situation. My man was heavy when we met and I gained over 50 pounds since then. We've both hindered each other in our own ways but we've since decided to work hard together. He's far more active than I am, but food has always been our downfall, together. Luckily he has far more self control…

On a different note, this has happened to me in the past before too. I'm always convinced that eating a ton of chocolate or some other "not so healthy" food will make me feel better when I'm feeling emotional, etc. When it doesn't, I remind myself of a couple of things. 1) Cravings mean something. For me in a lot of cases…

I second La Croix. I don't give my son soda and I am trying to cut back on it myself, but sometimes I just want something bubbly! You mentioned that you don't like sparkling water all that much but your son does. My son really likes La Croix! The peach one is to die for.

I love me some Galas but I think my ultimate fave is Honeycrisp. Mmmm! <3

Evicting the tenant...I love it! Hahaha

Commenting to say two things: 1) Hello fellow archer! 2) You look GREAT!
-
Fantastic! Especially when it comes in the form of avocados and cheese. >:)

I absolutely love this idea! Bottom line is a downward trend, but the fluctuations are also normal. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with those who have previously stated that 1200 is quite low for the average person, especially for your weight/height. If I have a day that I'm over, I try not to fret. I'm usually right where I should be, so a few calories here or there isn't going to destroy me, especially if I'm still within maintenance. I,…

Great points! I've been eating more fish than usual (not a ton, but I wasn't eating a ton before) and more cheese than usual. I hope these aren't the culprits but I guess it's experimentation time!

This right here. I'm actually right where I should be based on my activity level and caloric intake. I'm keeping an eye on macros but my priority right now is calories. I'll echo what Christine said, fat is an important macro.

Do you mean you've completed a bachelor's or you've taken some classes toward a bachelor's? Asking for a friend.

This is helpful, thanks! I'll try and bump up my water a little more (didn't want to to too much, too soon) but I'll also try using a facial wipe before working out in addition to washing after. Thank you! :)

Anywhere between 40-70 grams, depends on activity level for the day among other factors. Versus what I WAS eating before which was 120+ grams. Yikes!

Thanks for your input! I have been adding some exercise, although I hit the shower immediately after and exfoliate and all that fun stuff, although that may not be enough! I guess we'll see where I'm at in a week or so. I heard of a lot of folks who have severe breakouts when cutting a lot of sugar/carbs out of their diets…

Congratulations on your incredible hard work and commitment! I'm in the 100 pound boat as well! Sending you a friend-request! :)

The biggest change to my diet really has been no fast food. I would say that on a whole I'm consuming a lot less fat. I logged my meals about a week before I was planning to "make the big change" and I was eating double my daily goal (in the fat department).

THANK YOU! :) :) :)

I like the Beachbody routines (I'm doing Rockin' Body right now and I love it!) so that would probably be my choice!

Sliced banana drizzled with honey. <3

If I have room I'll snag something that usually goes in my son's lunchbox, like Ritz peanut butter crackers or fruit snacks. :D

I second everyone saying mix coffee with your powder. My protein drink in the morning is coffee, vanilla soy milk, and chocolate vega protein powder. Mix mix mix, add ice, good to go!
-
I have minimal self control with avocado myself! It's a great fruit though, just log it and move on.

I chose my pre-baby weight. I find it so hard to believe that I've gained 100 pounds in my 7 years post-baby! My plan is to be back to pre-baby weight as well as more fit!

I loooove this thread! As someone with 100 to go, y'all are inspiring me!
-
Great job! Super impressive!

This is a really helpful thread, I'm definitely an emotional/boredom eater. I've found drinking cold water or taking a few long, mindful sips off a hot cup of coffee tend to help center me. I'm still working on overcoming it when the pressure is severe, though.
