I totally decided that I was being my own roadblock. So I used a day timer, planned out some meals, entered recipes into MFP and went grocery shopping. I did a tonne of googling and feel so much more in control now :)

Thanks for the info guys. I figure I must be estimating wrong so I've bought a food scale and am using it. I've since dropped it down a level to lightly active and it's now giving me 1540 cals/daily

The one step above lightly active - I go for a brisk walk for a minimum of an hour every day and spend most days on my feet.

I thought it was high as well...i feel like it takes effort to eat 1900 cals! Perhaps I'll switch my activity to sedentary as well...

Meal planning has never been part of our lives. We buy our meat in bulk, once a month, and basically top up other items as the month goes on. Most meals are "this will taste good with this!"

Thanks :) I have a very hard time not monitoring progress and such, and right now it just seems like my body hurts for nothing lol
