Hi everyone! I'm another one who's been on and off with MFP, and every time I come back I have a little more to lose... Just done the maths and this time it's at least 15 lbs, but 10 would be a great start! So: Starting weight- 170.6 (when I weighed myself last week for first time in 6 months 😒) Goal weight by April 15-…

I wish I thought I could do 10lbs in a month! Normally with a month of weighing and tracking everything and exercising religiously I can shift about 3-4 which is all I've needed before. This time it's the long haul 😦 I've joined a 3 month challenge to get started, so 🤞 Good luck with yours!

I wish I could go swimming! All locked down here in UK. Although maybe treating 5 mins in a freezing lake as exercise all through December has something to do with where I am now 🤔

Congrats on the new baby! Like you, I never struggled to shift pregnancy weight, was back in my normal range no more than 3kg/7lbs above target for years and could get rid of a few if I was trending towards the top of that. But now suddenly (maybe not so suddenly not so suddenly) I'm 7kg/15lbs+ above it.

I wish I thought it could be done by mid March! I've managed the odd quick-fix-drop-a-few-before-things-get-out-of-hand before, but this is...more than that. I used to think it would be nice to lose a few pounds, no urgency. Now it's getting on for a stone of chub. I'll look out for that group though, thanks.

Looks like a blip - and 10 pounds in just over a month is really good progress!

Still nearly a pound down in a week, well done!

And is it working? I'm just starting to face up to mine, it's dispiriting...

How are you tackling it? I was slightly above where I wanted to be at start of covid, now got a solid 10 lb to lose. Really interested in how others are getting on with this.
-
Thanks! I usually exercise quite a bit, and the calories are net, so I do compensate for exercise. Like I say, no problem dropping the first few kilos (3 so far this time round), but previously I've got to this point and then slacked off the tracking and it's crept back on again by the time I next get on the scale. So…

Thanks for replying! I'm aiming for 0.5 kg (1 lb) a week. I think you're right about measuring too much, I need to remember it's got to be a long term thing. Agree I'm technically in "healthy" range, but it's all relative - with my build, at 77kg I'm pushing 30% body fat - and it shows!
-
I know what you mean, I think we feel it worse with being stuck at home and moving about less. I certainly feel more flabby than usual at this weight!
-
I really need this accountability - always seem to get within half a stone of my goal and then slack off...
