  • I disappeared half way through April because I ended up getting covid :( My whole household got it. Fortunately, none of us felt too, too sick. Unfortunately, I kept my full sense of taste and smell and ate to comfort myself. Plus, we were eating a lot of convenient/easy/snacky food and my MIL continuously dropped off…
  • Thanks @girlinkaz ! I'll maybe try doing that one day :)
  • @girlinkaz You look great! I love a good progress photo. They're so motivating :)
  • Looks like a lot of you had great weeks! Great job  I'm envious of those getting their vaccinations! My age group is still a ways off in my province. Friday weigh-in! Not such a great week for me  Age: 37 Height: 5'7" SW: 280 lb (Jan 1, 2020) April SW: 227.8 GW for April: 222 lb UGW: 199 lb (potentially…

  • Thank you! I just made a conscious decision not to do each of those things at each step of my evening. It was hard but I told myself that I would regret it. If I can control emotional tsunamis (love that term! so accurate) like this even half the time going forward, I will consider it a win.
  • Great work in March ladies!! I'm looking forward to sharing in your April successes  Age: 37 Height: 5'7" SW: 280 lb (Jan 1, 2020) April SW: 237.8 GW for April: 222 lb UGW: 199 lb (potentially 190 after that) April weigh-ins (Fridays): Apr 2: Apr 9: Apr 16: Apr 23: Apr 30: Month goals:* Minimize splurge-eating to…
  • Good work in March ladies! You're all so inspiring and motivating  Having somewhere to "check in" has really kept me on track these last couple of weeks. Thank you so much for that! My weigh-in day is Friday but I wanted to report my March progress. Age: 37 Height: 5'7" SW: 280 (Jan 1, 2020) Weigh-in Progress: Mar…
  • My first check-in in this group was a Saturday. Thanks for all of the welcomes I received after that  That was also the day I started back up logging and eating well again. My weigh-in day will be Friday going forward though. Age: 37 Height: 5'7" SW: 280 (Jan 1, 2020) Weigh-in Progress: Mar 20: 237.6 Mar 26: 230.8…
  • I have a general plan for the day's food but log as I prep/cook since I weigh it all as I go. I don't know enough of the details to pre-log too ahead of time unless I'm making a meal for the next day.
  • I log as I'm prepping/cooking each meal since I weigh everything out. If a meal is going to be a repeat (say I make a salad for Monday's lunch while making Sunday's lunch), I'll log it a day ahead.
  • Hello! I'm new-ish. I used MFP in '17/18 and then gained it all back and started Noom in January '20. I lost 60lbs by mid-Decemeber '20 but have since put 20ish back on. Womp womp. I'm switching back to MFP in hopes of shaking things up to get out of this rut. I just read through this whole thread and it sounds like a…
  • I also saw a bit of a loss this morning :) On track to log a good loss on Friday, I feel!
  • "It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve tried before... just brush yourself off and refocus with me." This is what I need to focus on. I lost 25lbs between Aug and Dec last year and then totally lost my focus and have put a good chunk of it back on. Back at it again as of last week!
  • I plan to not worry about calories too much today for Thanksgiving :) I banked a few calories this past week and I can make up a few more in the week to come if need be. As soon as I restrict too much, including worrying about holidays, I'll fall off the wagon completely.
  • I've been dieting off and on for 10 or so years and "cheat days" were always one of my downfalls. I'd do a cheat day and I'd do it HARD. Eating until I was sick, just wanting to get as much delicious food in my mouth as possible in that one day. But then the cheat day would turn into a weekend and then into a week and then…
  • I'm back at it, too! I've lost and gained the same 20ish pounds multiple times in the last couple of years. Ready to lose it for good. Good luck to you all!
  • I went there and just hit "update profile" and my calories did change a bit. Thanks for your help! And thanks to everyone else for helping as well :) Happy Thanksgiving weekend to any Canadians!
  • Ok, thanks to you both! Did you change your starting weight to your current weight then?
