I scan the bar code through the MFP app. When you click to add food, and choose your course (dinner, for example) there is a bar code icon in the upper right corner. Thanks all, it is true when I'm on vacation I usually walk so much that it doesn't result in as much weight gain so thanks for reminding me of that. I think I'll try and pack my own breakfast and only eat out twice a day so it's not so bad.

Would love to be part of this group of shorties. I'm 5'3 and need to lose another 25 lbs. My starting weight was 149 and my goal is 125. I've only been on MFP for a week, but down 4 lbs far so I'm very encouraged to keep going.
