The best way to get protein is by eating good. The supplement route cost a lot more and isn't as affective as real food. May I suggest a cheat day. On this day one day a week. You can eat the stuff you like in moderation. If you want a cheese burger eat a single and not a dubble eat a candy A candy bar. Just realize the next day you have to work your impruetie out

Also you need to look at the fat content and sugar in your foods. You can be eating less calories but be eating food higher in fat which would offset your weight loss

How many Calories have you been eating? How active are You? If you drop to a real low calorie diet it may shock your body into a starvation mode to where your body is storing more calories or fat than its burning

The more muscle you have the more calories you burn. According to just about every study done. Say you have 10 pounds of muscle even if they are not working they will burn 40-50 calories. At the same time same about of fat only burns half as much.
